Sturdy charging cord, the only one my puppy has not destroyed yet.
I have a new puppy in the house and hard as I try to keep watch, she is quick to steal a cord and chew it. This cord is just what I needed. She can chew through a regular rubber texture cord in just under a minute, this one gives me a little more time to notice she has it and take it away from her. Also with it having a metal texture she does not seem to enjoy chewing it in the first place.The cord appears to be one continuous piece of metal coiled around the wire. This gives it strength but still allows it to bend and move like other cords and it takes a lot to put a dent in it. The coiled metal also keeps the cord from bending too much anywhere so it shouldn't break at the connection points like other cords do.As for its charging ability it seems to charge just as fast as my old lightning cords. I have been using it for several weeks now and it seems to charge just as fast as the first day I used it. For $12.99 this cord is a good value.My only complaint, and its a small one, I wish it came in more colors. I light blue to match my phone case would be nice.Ver másVer menos

Charging performance was reliable throughout my testing, and the MFi certification meant my iPhone recognized the cable without any warning messages. Data syncing also worked exactly as expected. Durable, Easy-to-Spot Charger That’s Perfect for Kids
Whenever I see an iPhone charger that’s reinforced, flexible, and reasonably priced, I tend to grab it. With an 11-year-old, a 7-year-old, two iPads, and two phones in the house, charging cords seem to disappear almost as quickly as we buy them.I ordered this one specifically because of the bright orange color and planned to give it to my 11-year-old son as his designated charger. My hope is that the sturdy metal-reinforced design will help it survive longer than the typical cords we go through. So far, it seems incredibly durable.The orange and black color combination was an immediate hit with my son. He said it reminds him of a basketball, which made him even more excited to use it. It connected easily to both his iPad and my iPhone and started charging right away.It also appears to charge quickly, and the extra-long length—over six feet—is extremely convenient. You won’t be disappointed
This is my third one of these, which should tell you most of what you need to know. They charge well, hold up to daily yanking and coiling, and the metal spring sleeve near the connector is the part that earns the repeat buys, since that’s exactly where my cheaper cables always fray and quit first.The one thing worth flagging is the color. In the listing it looks more of a gold tone, but in person it’s noticeably more copper — kind of a burnt orange. It’s not a bad thing at all, I actually love how it looks, but if you’re ordering expecting that brassy gold from the photo, know that what shows up is warmer and more orange than that.The connector seated snugly in my phone with no wiggle or loose fit, and the braided-coil build feels sturdier than the rubbery cables that crack at the base. The length has been right for nightstand and couch charging without being so long it tangles into a nest.Color difference aside, these have more than earned their keep in my house — third one in and I’ll keep buying them. Sturdy, reliable cable at a great length
The “chew proof” USB to lightning cable is just as sturdy as it sounds. As a house with 5 kids and everyone has a tablet, plus 4 phones, we are always in need of charging cables. Some, we have learned, do not last like others and even others will cause damage to your devices if they “break off” inside the charging port. This cable immediately seems like it will be a reliable and sturdy one. The metal is articulated so it moves smoothly and acts as if it was a regular cable, though it feels heavier and more substantial. The lightning end plugs into an iPad perfectly, and doesn’t seem loose or otherwise like it may become loose. It charges well. The cable definitely will last and won’t tear or lacerate. It’s the perfect length, in my opinion, for being able to plug in and still get the thing you are charging in a reasonable spot. Love the pop of orange, it’s always fun to bring a little color into your life!A great buy!Ver másVer menos

Seems fine
We have *one* device remaining in the house that uses these things -- and come to think of it only ever had one, required by a corporate job, bought looong after USB-C became the standard, since we don't use iThings -- so we have to have functional lightning cables. Sigh. Anyway, this one works fine and has a nice coating on it. Am I prepared to swear that it's chew proof? No, but it's certainly beefier than a good many out there, and long enough to actually be useful.My star ratings explained:5 - Outstanding intersection of price and quality, an excellent product for an excellent price. Absolutely recommend.4 - Good product at a good to reasonable price, no major complaints. It may have some minor flaws or areas for improvement, but I would still generally recommend for most people or for situations specifically covered in the review. Excellent but overpriced products may also land here.3 - Aggressively mid for some reason, either the product itself, poor enough listing that it impacts customer experience, or price high enough that I would tend not to recommend on that basis. For example, clothing listings with lack of size chart or pieces that do not conform to the size chart may land here, as will clothing with questionable fabric or construction. Jewelry with a listing that plays fast and loose with terminology as compared to the actual product in a mild to moderate way may also land in this range. I do not generally recommend, but there may be some niche circumstances where it would be of potential use.2 - Not even mid. Something here is not matching up with the description, or the quality is so poor that I cannot in good conscience recommend it in any situation I can think of. Descriptions might be poor enough not only to impact customer experience, but play fast and loose with terminology in a particularly egregious way.1 - If I'm giving a one-star review, there is something WRONG, and I believe it to be intentional -- eg not the fabric described, not the materials promised (esp with regard to leather, cashmere, silk, or jewelry), or similar issue such that I would tend to recommend avoiding the product altogether.
