Do not cheap out on pedals
Would not recommend, pay a little extra for shimano- these are much harder to clip into, even when loosening the spring

Better priced than the big name brand.
These are very nice pedals for the price. I also have a set from that big name Japanese manufacturer, and so far these Bucklos pedals are nearly as nice but for a better price. For years I was a diehard SPD pedal only kind of person. But I see the versatility in having these dual purpose pedals. You can clip in easily for aggressive riding situations but for something casual, you can use a a pair of walking shoes on the other side. If you are a platform pedal kind of person, the studs on the platform side are pretty aggressive and should provide plenty of grip. I haven’t bounced these pedals off of any rocks yet, but if I’m clipped in the platform side is going to be down and protecting the mechanical parts of the SPD style pedals. This should make them durable in this sense. As long as the bearings are of high quality inside, and sealed, I expect these pedals to last a long time.Ver másVer menos

No cleats??
Pedal look great and seem to be of quality. Mine came without cleats. Who sells pedals without cleats? The enclosed instructions on how to mount the cleats and what size wrench to use would imply that they should have included the said cleats. Nope. The seller needs to make it clear that there are no cleats included. Anyway, I knocked off 2 stars for the lack of clarity and the extra money and time I need to spend.Ver másVer menos

Lightweight Dual-Sided Hybrid pedals with Smooth, Controlled Rotation
Pros:Generous Platform: Ample surface area that comfortably accommodates larger shoe sizes (tested with size 12).Controlled Rotation: Well-dampened spindles that stay in place rather than spinning wildly, making orientation predictable.Easy Clip Engagement: Smooth, light entry tension that doesn't require excessive force to step into.Great Aesthetics: Lightweight aluminum body with a clean black finish that seamlessly matches black frames.Effective Grip: Flat side traction pins provide solid, reliable hold for standard sneakers.Cons:No Wrench Flats: Installation/removal is strictly limited to an Allen wrench on the back of the spindle.Zero Float: The clip mechanism has a rigid hold with no lateral play, meaning any heel twist results in an immediate unclip.Full Review Text:If you are looking for a hybrid pedal that bridges the gap between casual platform riding and clipped-in efficiency, these Bucklos dual-sided pedals offer an impressive balance of features for the price.Fit and Flat-Side PerformanceThe first thing larger riders will appreciate is the platform real estate. Testing these with a size 12 foot, there is ample space on the flat side without feeling like your shoe is spilling off the edges. The integrated traction pins do exactly what they are supposed to do, locking standard sneakers firmly into place without slipping. Mechanically, they utilize internal bearings/bushings that prevent a loose "default hang." They don't spin freely or pinwheel wildly when you take your foot off; instead, they have a smooth, dampened rotation and largely stay in whatever orientation you leave them, making it easy to predict which side is facing up.Clip Side and EngagementThe SPD-style clip mechanism on the reverse side is incredibly user-friendly to step into. It doesn't require an immense amount of downward force to engage, making it an excellent option for commuters or those who don't want a punishingly stiff entry. It is worth noting, however, that these bindings offer virtually zero float. Your foot is held completely rigid with no lateral play, so even the slightest deliberate outward heel rotation will instantly release you from the pedal. While great for quick exits, riders who prefer a few degrees of heel float to save their knees should keep this rigid retention in mind.Installation and Build QualityThe pedals are impressively lightweight and the anodized black finish looks sharp on a black bike frame. One important design detail to note before buying is that the spindle shafts completely lack traditional flat spots for a standard pedal wrench. Installation and removal must be done entirely from the inside of the crank arm using an Allen wrench. Fortunately, the threads are clean and they tighten down easily, but you will want to make sure you have a quality hex key on hand for the job.The Bottom Line:An excellent, lightweight hybrid pedal for cyclists who want options. If you don't mind an Allen-only install and prefer a light, zero-float clip style, these offer fantastic real estate and a smooth ride for a fraction of the cost of major name brands.
