Golden Yolks!
Yes! I saw an immediate depth of gold in the egg yolks! Very fine tho - have to mix with something moist they love to get it inside them.

Seems to be helping our thin egg shell issue.
So far we've had, potentially, some good benefit from this supplement, I know they really enjoy it regardless.All our birds are just over 2 years old and their egg laying capabilities are slowing down. With one hen in particular, we started having some issues with egg quality, thin spots and overall fragility. Typically resulting in a smashed egg in the laying box or an inedible egg every 1 to 2 days. This is more concerning when considering the potential internal damage a broken egg can have on a hen.Our environment is calcium rich due to the mass amount of limestone, we give them pounds of calcium-rich kale per month along with other fresh and fun goodies, we grind their shells and let them free feed on them, we also keep oyster shell available to them 24/7 and give that a grind here or there in case they prefer some powder. This isn't even the half of it, but overall, we try to give them a diet that is nutritionally available, rich in vitamins and minerals, and an abundance of calcium. I think this booster is filling in the missing pieces of the nutrition puzzle.I haven't had a thin or fragile egg in about a week. Now, I can't speak to the color of the yolks, we have months worth of eggs in the fridge and it will be awhile before we're enjoying this months eggs. But, I'm not as much concerned about the color as I am the proteins, I want stronger yolks, thicker and stronger whites, stronger shells, and better consistency throughout the layers of the egg.I had been growing marigolds for the girls over a summer and they were never interested, they're really finicky about food (heritage breeds) and I've not been able to get them to eat any flower, not even the kale flowers. I'm glad to report that they really enjoy this supplement and rush the over-feeder when I add it in, they don't seem to notice the marigold in it, or the different form means it's not the same thing in chicken logic.Overall, this might end up on our subscribe and save list to see out the remainder of their time laying with better eggs resulting. Compared to the fancier powdered supplements we have to get the ducks, this is about 4x the cost per pound. Maybe a larger bag option could cut the consumer cost a bit? Chickens are officially the most expensive animal I've ever raised and another $20 per 15 hens per month really adds up fast.Chicken over-feeder is a steel dog water bowl, we put in all the leftover primary food from yesterday that they decided wasn't good enough, all the supplement powders (egg shells, oyster shell, this egg booster, etc.) and any other dried foodstuffs (when available, seaweed, cracked corn, dried peas, freeze dried mealworms or crickets) then mix it together if they let us get that far. My layers took to it fast and the yolks got golder
I've got a small backyard flock of layers and started stirring this into their regular dry feed to see if it would do anything for the eggs. The hens took to it right away, no coaxing, which surprised me since mine can be picky about anything new. It's a fine powder that blends into the feed easily, and a scoop or so a day means the bag stretches a good while.The part I was hoping for actually showed up. The yolks came out noticeably deeper, a richer golden color than what we were getting before. I like that it's a whole food blend too, real stuff like flaxseed, calcium, marigold, and a mix of herbs rather than some synthetic dye doing the work. It feels like it's adding actual nutrition and not just tinting the yolk.If you keep laying hens and want a simple daily add in that they'll happily eat and that shows up in the egg, this has been a solid one for us.Ver másVer menos

Pricey, but works wonders for my rescue hen!
I'm using Happy Cluck Organics Golden Yolk Daily Egg Booster specifically to support a rescue frazzle hen in my flock. Laying eggs takes a lot out of her, and this supplement has made a visible difference. It seems to give her a great energy boost, and her eggshells are coming out much stronger now.My only complaint is the price—$19 for a 1-pound bag is definitely on the expensive side. My main flock consists of fantastic layers who don't need the extra help, so I only treat them occasionally and save the bulk of the powder for her. Since it's primarily being used for just one bird, the bag should last a reasonable amount of time, making the cost a bit more manageable.
