Very cute MOA PBT Shine-thru DoubleShots with standard compatibility
In all, if you are looking for a cute set of keycaps and like RGB or desire shine-through legends, this set, by Maorbeng, is a fantastic option - IF your keyboard has the typical bottom row layout of 6.25u space bar accompanied by either 1.25u modifiers, or a mix of 1.25u and 1u modifiers.I knew what I was buying, so I'm not dinging a star, but I wish this was a set that offered stronger compatibility for somewhat common, but less mainstream ANSI keyboards. Regular MAO sets are usually much more generous, albeit at a slightly higher cost.Given the photos showing the underside of these keycaps, I will admit I was concerned with sound and feel. I have other keycap sets that are MAO PBT, and they are thick and help contribute to the thockiness of a keyboard. I worried that this set would feel cheap and degrade typing sound. Thankfully, both my fears were unwarranted.I have several GravaStar keyboards in various models and colors, which are fantastic pre-builts that sound AMAZING. I already had a "regular" MAO thick PBT keycap set on one board, and I put this set on another one (the pale blue). Same exact model keyboard with identical switches. I didn't notice a difference in feel. There WERE fairly subtle differences in typing sound, but NOT a downgrade. BOTH keyboards sounded fantastic, just a bit different.
