Very good TV with good features for the money.
This is a surprisingly good TV for the money, especially if you catch it on sale, as I did. Once you turn off the energy saving mode (and you DO want to) the picture quality is excellent - good enough that you will need to spend $1000 more to get something that is definitely, noticeably better. (I went to a local TV/Audio dealer and almost sprung for a $1300 unit, but this picture is nearly as good.)This TV also has some features that are hard to find in the user interface, but are surprisingly nice, including the ability to set up the remote to automatically turn on and off my 40 year-old(!) Harmon/Kardon receiver, and use the volume buttons on the remote to control its volume. (I did have to buy a TOSLINK fiber optic audio to RCA adapter, since this TV does not have analog audio out, even though one of the photos shows a headphone jack that is not there on this TV.)On the Smart TV side of things, the menus and UI are reasonably quick, and the included YouTube app works well. (I don't subscribe to the other services.) The muddiness in Prime Video movies is still there, but seems a bit better on this than the FireTV I had on the old TV. But you can also use it as a dumb TV, since you can set it up to automatically start up displaying a specific input. The OTA HDTV tuner is also a bit better than my old Samsung TV, bringing in a few channels that it couldn't always grab and hold.My only gripes are the lack of analog audio out, and that the front legs stick out a bit too far, but those are minor.If it turns out to last and run reliably for many years, it'll be a real winner!Ver másVer menos
