A great laser level for everyday DIY projects
I've actually been using a larger rotary/surveyor-style laser level around the house for a while now, and it's been fantastic for bigger projects. The only downside is that it's... well... big. Sometimes you just want something that's quick to grab, easier to maneuver, and doesn't take up half the room when you're hanging a picture.That's exactly where this laser level shines.I've already used it for hanging pictures, lining up shelves, and a few other odd jobs around the house, and it's been a pleasure to work with. The laser lines are bright, easy to see indoors, and the self-leveling feature makes setup quick. It takes all the guesswork out of getting things straight.The size is another huge plus. It's compact enough that I'll probably reach for this before my larger laser on most household projects. It fits nicely in my toolbox and doesn't feel like overkill when all I need is a couple of level reference lines.The included tripod is actually better than some of the bargain tripods I've received with similar products. It gets the job done and is perfectly adequate for hanging pictures and light-duty work. That said, I still wish manufacturers would include a little more substantial tripod with these kits. A heavier, more rigid tripod would make an already good package even better. It's certainly not a deal breaker, just something I'd like to see improved.Pros: bright, easy-to-see laser lines, compact size, self-leveling works well, simple to use, carrying case included, tripod included, great for hanging pictures, shelving, trim work, and other DIY projects.Cons: the included tripod works fine, but I'd still prefer something a little more robust and heavy-duty for maximum stability.Overall: This has quickly become my go-to laser level for projects around the house. It's small, accurate, easy to use, and much more convenient than dragging out my larger surveyor laser for simple tasks. Accurate Laser Level That Makes Projects Much Easier
This laser level has been a great tool for hanging pictures and tackling other projects around the house. The laser is bright, accurate, and makes it much easier to get everything perfectly level without the guesswork.I like that it comes with a tripod, which adds a lot of versatility and makes positioning the laser simple. The adjustments are easy to make, and once it’s set up, it does most of the work for you. It’s also lightweight, making it easy to move from one project to the next.The overall build quality feels solid, and it’s much more convenient than trying to level everything manually.Pros:* Accurate laser leveling* Great for hanging pictures and home projects* Includes a tripod* Easy to adjust and position* Lightweight and portable* Good overall quality* Saves time compared to manual levelingCons:* None that I’ve experienced so farOverall: This is a reliable, easy-to-use laser level that makes DIY projects much simpler. Easy to use and accurate laser level, quality tripod, great price.
Okay, let me start this by saying I am not a carpenter or contactor, just a little DIY projects now and then, however I am familiar with these laser levels.I included 2 photos, showing the original box and the bags holding the products in the box so you are familiar with the packaging.First, the tripod. I thought the overall price on this level when I ordered it was very reasonable, $35, so I didn't expect much from the tripod... I was wrong. The tripod is a very nice high quality tripod. Has 2 level built in for leveling, although when the laser is set to "auto level" you really don't need the levels on the tripod. The quick snaps to extend the legs are firm and secure, and it neatly folds up into its own carry case, although its pretty much just a pretty thin drawstring bag, but the tripod is solid.Now the main part, the level itself.It is not self-powered rechargeable unit, it does require 2 AA batteries, but at least they give you the first set you will need for free with the laser. It has 2 basic settings, lock and self leveling.NOTE! I included a video showing both of these feature sin action, very easy to use.On "lock" the laser line is locked, meaning you can tilt it any way you need in case you need an angled line. On the self-leveling mode it does just that, self levels. The tripod doesn't have to be spot on level, just reasonably close, and the laser itself will seek and level itself, works perfect, see the video I attached.I thought this was a heck of a deal for the price, the laser, the batteries, carry case and a nice tripod for a very good price. Works as advertised.
I love using a tripod laser level, but I've always been wary of the cost for the one that I wanted; however, this popped up for review and I couldn't resist. It does have dual modes allowing you to either letting it self-level or you could manually do it yourself if you need to work at a pre-determined angle (such as lining up picture frames going up a staircase). With this level, you get horizontal, vertical, and cross line. The laser itself is very bright and visible during the daytime. The self-leveling is accurate as checked with level that I know is correct.It sits on a very durable tripod, plus it says that it can withstand drops up to over 3 feet. Sorry, I'm not going to test that aspect of it but should I ever do accidently drop it, I'll update this review with the results but it's in a pretty sturdy plastic case already.The biggest bonus for me is for guys who won't use it as often as a professional...it has a separate pouch inside the laser pouch for you to store the batteries needed to run the laser instead of leaving them in. For guys that use it on a near daily basis, it's a great place to store extra batteries in case the ones you are using die on you.Overall, it's great value for your money. It's accurate and easy to see. Green is nice and bright.
The manual for the device has major quality control issues, and the tripod that comes with it is quite cheap feeling, but the laser has worked fine for my needs. I've been using it to hang pictures and place posters in my office/room and it's great. Rather than using the tripod which isn't horrible but isn't great, the laser actually works really well on a selfie stick tripod I have that can go up to 11 feet. Super useful.Physically the laser is pretty durable and can probably take a few bumps and bruises.The visibility of the laser is good, and when in locked mode it's really useful for angles. Very easy to see even in bright lights. The leveling is fine and accurate.The tripod isn't a rip off at $12 for it, but it's not really that great either. If anything, it's a good deal just to have to use as a video tripod as basically that's what it is. Could easily be used for zoom calls and stuff. Good value for the money. They really need to fix the alignment on the printer for the manual though. Some of the instructions are actually cut off in the book.Ver másVer menos

Simple laser level that just works
A laser level is one of those tools I think about wishing I had every time I need to hang something. However, it's also not something I do very often so I didn't want anything too fancy. This device felt like the perfect basic laser level to have on hand when needed but didn't make you feel like you brought a really fancy tool for single use.Things I really like:+ This thing is as simple as it gets. It's got two buttons and really just works or doesn't work.+ The level is accurate and that's the most important function+ It's super lightweight and completely rubberized so I suspect will be very durable+ The include tripod is decent quality and also lightweight. I suspect I can use it for filming or light photography if needed. The tripod is very adjustable.Keep in mind that 40inch is 3ft and change so if you're constantly doing things that need to be eye level, you will need a different tripod.Ver másVer menos
