Training a sled dog to walk

I bought this harness for a rescue Samoyed we just welcomed to our home. I wasn't sure how or if he had been trained to walk so I wanted something to help train him. but be comfortable. This harness is VERY nice, sturdy, and easy to adjust to fit securely. The buckles are very nice and easy to connect. I had no idea it would be this nice. He does great with it and we are using it every day.Ver másVer menos

  Akita Approved

I have a 3 year old American Akita, she weighs around 85-90 pounds. I was hesitant to get this harness because I didn't know whether or not it would be strong enough to stay buckled if she ran at another animal full force as she sometimes will. Her prey drive is very strong. When she does this she has almost taken me with her when the leash snaps from me hitting the button to stop her. She's never actually caught the random unlucky animal thank goodness, because I am always vigilant. So needless to say I was skeptical of a magnet being able to hold when she is caught in a frenzy like that, but I gave it a try anyway. Of course, her very first time wearing it on a walk, a kitty crossed the road in front of us and must have given her some attitude or something, because one second she is standing there looking quite goofy and cute with her tongue sticking out and the next she is launching like a death missile right at said kitty cat. She got about 6 feet or so before I hit the all stop button on her leash and it nearly yanked my arm out of the socket but you know what? That harness never flinched. I am so so impressed with the Fei and Eve Cloud MagEase that I will now be a customer for as long as Luna and I take walks. It is super easy on and off and just a great looking harness as well. My girl is tri-color and the creamy beige color looks so great on her. Well worth the price and if you have a big dog and are reluctant to get one of these for fear of it not being able to hold them, don't be. It is really a winner.Ver másVer menos
