Amazing Real-Time Translation Earbuds
These real-time translation earbuds are amazing! I use them when I go to the movies because my child already understands English from school, while I still don’t understand everything. With these earbuds, I can actually enjoy and understand the movie.They are also great for conversations: you can keep one earbud and give the other one to another person, and they translate both languages while you talk. It makes communicating with someone who speaks another language much easier.The only downside is the price — they are quite expensive. But the packaging is absolutely luxurious. Even the unboxing experience feels premium and is a pleasure. Overall, an excellent and very useful product!Ver másVer menos

NO COMPRES ESTE PRODUCOTO.La publicidad promete una traducción en tiempo real, fluida y confiable, y la realidad es completamente distinta.Las traducciones tienen un retraso de hasta 30 segundos. Eso de “tiempo real” que anuncian simplemente no existe: para cuando llega la traducción, la conversación ya avanzó y todo pierde sentido. Peor aún, no son confiables. Con frecuencia cambia palabras clave y altera por completo el significado de lo que se dice, lo cual en una conversación real puede generar malentendidos serios.Compré estos audífonos confiando en la publicidad, con la ilusión de usarlos en un viaje a Europa para conversar, hacer pedidos en hoteles y restaurantes, y comunicarme en el transporte público. En NINGUNA de estas situaciones me sirvieron. El producto no cumple ni su función más básica.Lo que más me molesta es pagar un precio tan elevado por algo que se vende como una solución profesional y de viaje, cuando en la práctica no funciona. Timekettle W4 Pro AI Interpreter Earbuds Review
The Timekettle W4 Pro AI Interpreter Earbuds are pretty impressive if you deal with language barriers often. They make real-time, two-way translation feel natural instead of awkward, especially compared to using a phone app. You just put them in and talk like you normally would, and the translation happens fast enough to keep the conversation moving.I like that they work hands-free. You’re not constantly pulling your phone out or passing it back and forth, which makes a big difference in business settings, travel, or even casual conversations. The earbuds are comfortable to wear for long periods, and the sound quality is clear enough that you don’t struggle to understand the translations.They support a lot of languages (50+), which makes them useful in many situations. Whether it’s meetings, travel, or talking with someone who doesn’t speak your language at all, they help break down that wall pretty effectively. It’s not perfect like a professional human interpreter, but it’s surprisingly good for an AI-based device.Overall, the Timekettle W4 Pro earbuds are a solid tool if translation is something you actually need, not just a novelty. Voice recognition is the critical detail. Translation works fine once it understands the voice.
I purchased these for a trip to West Africa and used them in French Speaking Ivory Coast, primarily upcountry. I was working with a local team. In practice I found two things.1) Offline translation just didn't work for me in the field. It worked at my desk in the US and testing with a Portugese speaker, but once I was in country and had the language downloaded it wouldn't work. Switching to Online translation got things going. Have a good data plan for your cell phone! AT&T $12 per day international roaming was great.2) Voice recognition is the weak spot. This appears in Local/Regional variations in the way people speak a language. The local variation of French in Ivory Coast wreaked havoc on the voice recognition side. TimeKettle could understand me (American English) just fine. It could not understand my counterparts French, and as a result the translation of spoken audio was a mess. If they typed instead, the translation came out reasonable... there are clearly bigger picture differences in communication which still cause some challenges, in terms of the way things are communicated, but that's a cultural issue.If you are traveling to a location where the spoken language is close to a textbook example, these will probably work quite well. As you get into regional variations the difficulty will increase. Now, it is important to note that these were good for making sure that my counterparts understood me clearly. My counterparts felt like the message was clear and reasonably well translated. The weakness was in the communication coming back to me. As they watched the screen showing the voice recognition of what they said it was very evident that it was not picking up their words correctly. If they slowed down and spent lots of time elongating their sentences the translation improved, though was 'fair' at best. My perception is that some of this is cultural/regional language style or dialect.Ver másVer menos

It does require the app to be connected even if you are offline on your phone. but WORTH IT
Real time translation, easy app setup, dont waste your money on anything else, buy these instead, the "el cheapo" ones are below par, and this has a great community to support you with offline real time translations too.

Review of the Timekettle DeviceI tested the Timekettle device using two languages: Vietnamese and American English. My home internet connection is very stable, with a speed of about 600 Mbps, so the comments below are mainly based on the actual performance of the device, not because of a weak internet connection.1. Ear pain after wearing it for a long timeIf I wear the earbuds continuously for about one hour or more, my ears start to hurt quite a bit. If I wear glasses at the same time, the pain comes faster and feels more uncomfortable.2. Translation delayThe device usually has a delay of about 3 to 5 seconds after the speaker finishes a sentence.3. Live translation through the earbudsThe translation quality through the earbuds is only acceptable to a limited degree. The speaker needs to speak clearly, loudly enough, and slowly. If the speaker talks softly, if the environment is noisy, or if the speaker stutters a little, the device may not translate, may translate very slowly, or may sometimes translate into a completely different meaning that is very difficult to understand.4. Mode where two people each wear one deviceIn the mode where each person wears one device and selects their own language, two people can speak in their own languages. This mode works somewhat acceptably, but the translation is still sometimes inaccurate, and there is still a delay.5. Use in churchIn a church environment, when parishioners read the Scripture, when the priest reads the Gospel, or when the priest gives a homily, the device can translate the main idea at a somewhat acceptable level. However, the translation is not accurate word for word or sentence by sentence. Many times, the translated language sounds strange, sometimes funny, or even completely wrong.When the congregation prays together or when the choir sings, the device almost cannot process it and often seems to “freeze.”6. When using it for phone callsDuring phone calls, the voice that the person on the other end hears is not my real voice. If I do not explain in advance that I am using AI for interpretation, the other person may think something is wrong, ask if I am okay, or may even hang up.7. Vietnamese speech recognition is not stableMany times, I tested the device by speaking Vietnamese, which is my native language. I spoke slowly and clearly. However, when I looked at the text shown on the iPhone screen, the device still recognized the wrong words or displayed something different from what I actually said.8. Easily confused when a third person speaks nearbyOne funny issue is that when I tried listening to my child speaking English, if a third person spoke nearby in another language such as Vietnamese, Thai, or Filipino, the device did not simply stay silent when it heard unrelated speech. Instead, it still tried to translate and played meaningless words or sentences into my earbuds.9. ConclusionOverall, the Timekettle device still has quite a lot of problems. Based on my experience, I do not think it is worth buying at this time, May 05, 2026. It may be better to wait until the company improves the accuracy, noise filtering, translation speed, and overall stability before deciding to purchase it.
