Is it a serum? Is it a cream? Its both - and purple
I ordered the Arencia NAD+ Serum Booster to add to my skin care routine because I love k-beauty skin care. Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect. I wasn’t sure what a serum booster was. Apparently is a viscous cream, and in this particular case purple color that matches the packaging. Interestingly, once I applied the purple cream on my skin it had no noticeable color. It also does not have a noticeable scent.I am a middle aged perimenopausal woman with dry, aging skin. Initially I read the instruction on the tube and it said to use with the cream layer. So, I cleaned and toned my face, then applied a serum and then the Arencia NAD+ Serum Booster and finally a moisturizer. It was probably a little overkill, although it felt like a dream to my skin. My skin stayed sticky for a little longer than usial and felt dewy for several hours afterward. My skin also felt deeply moisturized and happy.Since then I have realized the booster can be used in a variety of ways. I can layer it with my serum and/or moisturizer, layer it with other boosters, or use it just by itself. It is kind of like a serum and cream combined.The packaging also says it can be used as a spot treatment, but that’s not really how I roll, so I can’t give feedback on that type of use.I can say the ingredients look pretty good. I like that the highlighted ingredients are pretty high up on the list and I don’t see any ingredients I avoid. And of course being a Korean beauty product, there are pretty good standards for safety and quality.Initially the price at the time of this review seemed a little high for the quantity. After I read through the ingredients and used it more, I feel like it is a good value for the price. It is good quality, a little goes a long way, and it can be used either layer or as a single step replacement for serum and cream moisturizer.Ver másVer menos
