Perfect for movie nights
This projector is great for casual movie nights. I like that Roku is already built in, so setup is simple and the menu is easy to use. Better sound and value than I expected
I bought the D1R air mainly as a portable projector for casual movie nights at home, and honestly, it feels like a better value than I expected. I’ve tried a few smaller projectors before, and most of them either looked okay but sounded weak, or needed an extra speaker to make movies feel enjoyable. This one feels more complete right out of the box.The sound was the part that surprised me most. For a small projector, it gets louder than I expected, and the speaker base gives the audio a fuller sound instead of that thin, tiny speaker feeling some mini projectors have. For watching movies, YouTube, or shows in the bedroom or living room, I usually don’t feel like I need to connect another speaker.I also like that it works like a smart projector with WiFi and Bluetooth. Excellent Picture Quality and Easy Setup

Excellent product!
Such a great purchase! Strongly recommend - can’t wait to take this on camping trips.Picture quality:Really great with lots of different setting options. This video (attached) is from watching in day time with blinds closed (no curtains), and even in daylight, the picture is pretty great. Obviously the darker you can get the room the better. But still very watchable during the daytime.Sound quality:The speaker works really well! I was impressed. And the noise from the actual projector when powered on is super quiet. Not noticeable at all when watching something.Ease of setup:Super, super simple. Really easy to download apps and login, connect to WiFi, mirror/cast, and use HDMI, etc. It’s the type of set up you can do without referencing the manual. Great Projector with a Tiny Footprint!
This projector has very impressive image quality and speaker volume for the size and price! We bought it for a guest bedroom where we didn't feel a TV would make sense. Roku has a great interface and was very easy to set up. We have had no problems streaming content over Wi-Fi. The projector also has great auto focus and easy to use zoom and keystone settings, so it is easy to situate in most rooms. Overall, it was a great purchase!Ver másVer menos

Worked better than I thought at night
I’ve used this projector a few times outside in the evening, and it actually did better than I expected. Around dusk, when the sky wasn’t fully dark yet, the picture was still clear enough to watch a movie comfortably. Once it got darker, the image looked sharper and the colors came through much better. The Roku system is a big reason I like it. I didn’t have to plug in another streaming stick or deal with extra setup, which made the whole thing feel simple. The sound was also surprisingly good for a small projector. I wouldn’t expect it to perform like a TV in a bright room, but for evening use, outdoor movies, and casual nights at home, it’s been really easy to enjoy.Ver másVer menos

Great projector at a stellar price with Roku built in!
For the current $150 sale price this projector is a steal! The built in Roku makes this projector very portable and easy to use. It’s great for camping, movie night in the backyard, or even just regular use in a dark room in the house. You can’t beat the Roku OS being built in. The projector is extremely easy to set up. Good value for a "mini" projector that's portable.
I received this mini-projector through the Vine program for my review, and have used it regularly for about the past month. I've also had occasion to test out a few different previous projectors, a different model from this same manufacturer, and also one from a different manufacturer.I've primarily used it for streaming movies/TV shows, and other video content. At the end of that experience, I can say that this is a practical, relatively low-cost unit, that can serve some users' needs very well.One of the features I appreciate most is the ease-of-use. This mini-projector is really quick to set up, and very handy if you need to move it from one location to another (e.g. between rooms in a house or outdoors for an evening movie "under the stars" -- which we tried out as well). I didn't need to spend much time adjusting settings before hitting "play". Pretty plug-and-play.It's also nice and compact. Compared to a different unit that is permanently set up in our TV room, this one does not take up much space. If you're not using it every day, you can even store it when not in use, because its "mini" and does not take up much space. Several times I've moved it from the living room to the outdoor patio with little fuss.The picture quality is clear, naturally it does best in darker environments. Movies and streaming content look sharp, and the image is large enough to create a more immersive viewing experience than a conventional television. The automatic image adjustments also help simplify setup, especially when changing the projector's position. This is a standard feature on projectors from this manufacturer - and the other larger one I have from this brand has the same feature. The two work the same.I was also pretty happy with the sound quality, especially coming from a "mini" projector. If you are in an indoor room (i.e. a closed environment) the built-in speakers provide enough volume that I didn't need to connect external speakers. Outside was a bit different, but that's to be expected. So if you are just using indoors, I think you'll be happy with the speakers that are built-in.Another upgrade is the flexibility around positioning. Another unit that I've reviewed struggles with the placement of the cord, and with any USB key that you want to plug in (e.g. for movie files). This one allows to flex the base of the stand and project not just forward, but also upward. The cord also stays out of the way. This is especially great for me, since I have a room with a vaulted ceiling where the projector angle is not typical for correct set up.In terms of first-time setup, it's nothing too complicated. Again, I'm familiar with this manufacturer's interface because the larger model uses the same one. Pretty easy to use (not entirely seamless, but not obtuse either).Overall, this is a good unit at a fair price (at the time of this review, about $200 including a small discount).

The built-in Roku interface was the main feature I wanted to evaluate, since it removes the need for an external streaming stick and makes the setup much simpler.Getting started is straightforward. After connecting to WiFi and activating Roku, the interface feels familiar and responsive, especially if you already use Roku devices. Built-in apps make it really convenient
What I like most about the Aurzen projector is how convenient it is to use. With the built-in apps, I don’t have to connect a separate streaming stick every time I want to watch something. That makes the whole setup feel much simpler and cleaner.The projector itself is compact and lightweight, so it’s easy to move from one room to another. The image quality has been very good for casual watching, especially in the evening. The 1080P picture looks sharp, and the colours look nice and natural.The sound is also better than I expected for a projector this size. For regular home use, it’s perfectly fine on its own. The King In Portability!
To start the first thing I’m going to point out is if you’re looking for something that is the best bang for $200 I would say no. There are much better in that price range that bring better quality and the same features. But I do say this is the best portable projector that I have personally used with an excellent balance of actual portability while providing great features.The build and model of this unit was really good and practical. I found the shell to be very robust and solid, something I tossed in my bag and had zero worries of it breaking or being damaged. The stand was solid, well balanced and allowed me to get the right angle without any tipping over or loss of balance.The picture quality was very crisp and clear, it is just 1080p but it is a clean 1080p. The brightness was pretty good, you could get away with a semi lit room and still have a very reasonable colour and picture quality but of course a dark and light controlled room is where it really shines.I liked that this projector was not lacking in features, key stone and autofocus made changing destinations a lot more reasonable as you didn’t have to do anything. You simply just placed it down, got your angle right, and the projector did the rest in terms of getting everything in focus and you the best picture quality.When it comes to its os and form factor it is just running on Roku, so you will be limited to Roku and Roku only. But the projector was compatible mirror, share, and every other phone to display connection and had an hdmi input for any add ons.Speakers were decent, you’re not going to full and auditorium with sound or anything, but out back movie nights you will hear everything clear. The speakers actually had good sound, really full, some decent bass and well balanced eqs. They weren’t hallow and echoing.My recommendation if you’re looking for true portability yes, yes and yes. If you’re looking for the best value to your dollar for a stand alone projector. No. The cost takes a hit to performance to bring you true portability and that in my opinion is heavily where you value comes from.Ver másVer menos
