Compact but powerful book light
I just received this a few minutes ago, and liked it so much, I had to leave a review right away. First off, when I opened the Amazon shipping box, I was prepared to be disappointed, as the packaging for this item was much smaller than I had anticipated. My immediate thought was that a light this small wouldn't work particularly well. So I took it out and headed to bed to try it out on the book I'm currently reading. Well, I was quite surprised at how good this light was. Now I'm ecstatic about how small it is! It folds up into quite a compact package, so I wouldn't hesitate to take this with me when I travel. The build is astonishingly good for the low price I paid for it ($7 I think?) I was expecting a flimsy little dollar store item, but this actually feels quite premium. The buttons are seated solidly and have a satisfying little click of feedback. The clip is half-metal and half-nylon (I think) and fels remarkably sturdy. It clips onto my book and stays in place securely. The pivot on the clip is strong enough to hold the light up if you'd like to place it on a desk or something; it stands up on its own well. The light itself swivels in two directions so you can aim it where you need it, and it feels solid, not like some flimsy little thing that'll fall apart in a few weeks. The light is quite bright enough to light up both pages of my book, making reading a breeze. There's a sort of honeycomb effect filter on the light that disperses the light nicely. There are four light temperature settings; the white is nice and clean if you're reading comic books, and the amber is surprisingly nice for reading books. The brightness button lets you select five different brightness settings by clicking the button, but I learned from the instruction manual that you can get continuous brightness changes by holding the button down. In short, I am both surprised and pleased by the high quality of this book light, and am looking forward to using it. I spent a few hours looking at book lights, agonising over which one to buy, wondering if one type would be too heavy where another one might not be bright enough. I think I finally settled on this one mainly because of the price, but was surprised to find that the actual product was far higher quality than expected. Very happy with my choice.Ver másVer menos
