A Relief to Find Genuine Replacement Rolls
One of the reasons I chose these rolls is because I already own a FRESKO vacuum sealer. I can't speak to how they perform with other brands, even though they're advertised as universal. My experience is strictly with a FRESKO machine.One thing I really appreciate is simply knowing replacement rolls are readily available. It's similar to buying a pet water fountain and then hoping you can still find compatible replacement filters months later. When you have to compare sizes and hope something fits, it can become frustrating. Buying the matching rolls for my machine takes that guesswork away.The bags seal just as well as the original rolls that came with my vacuum sealer. I was concerned that replacement rolls might not perform the same, but I haven't noticed any drop in quality. That's important because the FRESKO sealer itself has done an excellent job, and I didn't want to compromise the results by switching to replacement bags.One feature I ended up liking more than I expected is the write-on area. Being able to use a permanent marker to label what's inside.Including important information like the purchase date, and even the date I resealed an opened packages makes organizing the pantry, refrigerator, and freezer much easier.The only thing I'd like to see in the future is an option for pre-cut bags in addition to the rolls. That's a convenience suggestion, not a criticism of the product.If you already own a FRESKO vacuum sealer and want replacement rolls that perform like the originals, these are an easy recommendation.Ver másVer menos

Create custom-sized bags for the jobs you need to vacuum seal.
I am new to vacuum sealing food. I got these Fresko vacuum sealer rolls to work with a Fresko vacuum sealer, but to my understanding, they are universal, so they will work in any vacuum sealer machine. This is a set of two rolls measuring 11 inches by 20 feet long. So what you do is cut it to the size that you need. Then you seal one end in the machine, place your food inside, and then vacuum seal the other end. What I like about the rolls is that they allow you to create custom-sized bags for vacuum sealing. You are not limited by the size of a premade bag. The only challenge is cutting it straight. The film which you turn into a bag is a durable, transparent material with an opaque white area where you can write on it to label it (what it is and the date). They are tough and have substance to them. For my first vacuum sealing job, I used an open package of potato knishes. Even though my cut was not as straight as I would have liked, it worked wonderfully. So now the two remaining knishes I have in there will stay fresh in the refrigerator for a few days when I will make another one from that package. These produce a much more airtight seal than simply using a zip-lock bag. It has always been challenging for me to eat things before they turn, but now the ability to use vacuum sealing on some of my food will help in that ongoing battle. It works out to be $16 a roll. I am not sure how similar items are priced, but if these will help reduce food waste, then they may be a good value.Ver másVer menos

I’m not sure about the exact thickness since there’s no info on the box or in the item description—normally I look for 4 mil—but they feel thick enough. Excellent Bags That Work Great and Save Money
These vacuum sealer rolls have been a great purchase. They work perfectly with my vacuum sealer—the brand that most people probably think of when they hear "vacuum sealer"—with strong, reliable seals every time. The material feels thick and durable, so I don't have to worry about punctures or leaks, whether I'm storing meat in the freezer or using them for sous vide cooking.I also like the write-on labels. It's a simple feature, but it makes it much easier to keep track of what's inside and when it was sealed without having to hunt for a marker-safe label.One thing to note is that the factory roll is fairly large, so it may not fit inside every vacuum sealer. Fortunately, it's an easy fix. I just reused the empty core from an old roll and transferred some of the material onto it, creating a smaller roll that fit my machine perfectly. It only took a minute and completely solved the problem.Considering the quality, ease of use, and the amount of material you get, these are an excellent value. They perform just as well as the much more expensive name-brand bags I've used, and I'll definitely be buying them again.Ver másVer menos
