Kids love this scope!
Fantastic way to keep the grandkids occupied for the afternoon in the park looking at all the plants, bugs, dirt, spider webs and their own fingerprints. The image quality is excellent and we were pleasantly surprised as the he cost was so low. My three year old granddaughter found the thumb adjuster easy to use and had a wonderful time all on her own finding princess bugs. The units are rugged and held up well to rough treatment from our grandson as well. I was surprised at the magnification and how crisp the image was on the scope. Fun educational microscope... for children and adults!
This "1000X Handheld Digital Microscope for Kids with 2.0" IPS Screen" exceeded my expectations. We gave it to my children (ages 6, 12, 14, 16) for Christmas, and we all enjoyed exploring with it. The screen is very detailed and magnifies as described. I love that it can be taken with us on the go. As a family, we have looked at everything from pores in the skin to insects to dust on the table. We probably used it for a couple hours before the battery needed to be recharged (included USB cable). It was easy to use after reading what each button did in the included instruction manual. There isn't a lot of internal memory, but there is a slot for a micro SD card, which we haven't put in, but will. The only two things I wish the manufacture would have done differently are to make the icons on the buttons stand out more. I had to rely on memorizing them instead of just seeing the button symbols, which are the same color as the button and quite small. The second thing to keep in mind is that the microscope camera is actually a smaller circle (about the size of a quarter) on the left side. When I purchased it, I assumed the whole bottom would have been the microscope (for use of seeing larger bugs and things), so I was disappointed by that fact. Otherwise, it has been a great purchase and value for the cost.Ver másVer menos

This digital microscope is great for exploring a new perspective on indoors and outdoors. See things up close and in detail. This makes spending time with kids or grandkids fun. Kids can’t wait to see what something looks like 1000Xs and adults are surprised and delighted that kids are exploring. My 8 year old loves this it very easy to use the quality is great all around battery life is great. Focus is great and easy for him to do the pictures it takes are better quality than I expected. Great gift to get the active engaged.

Still fun but NOT 1000x magnification!
𝐈𝐭'𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝟏𝟎𝟎𝟎𝐱! This device is really fun, and I am sure my grandsons will love it. BUT the magnification level is not even close to 1000x as advertised. I ran several tests by examining 1/8" squares with it, then using a ruler to measure the size of the squares on the device screen. At this highest level of magnification, the squares measured 1-1/8" on the screen, which equates to a magnification level of about 9x. The web site image of the product showing microscopic cells (presumably from a leaf or something) is 100% false. This is a great design, and 9-10x is very adequate for stuff kids will want to do with it, but I don't appreciate the false advertising. I also think the button labels are so small they're hard to read, and are not intuitive either, so I am cooking up a little "cheat sheet" for my grandsons showing how to do they things they're most likely to want to do (turn the device on and off, turn the lights on and off, turning the magnification up and down).Ver másVer menos

So fun!
So fun! Had to get a replacement since the SD card slot would not hold the card in, but the replacement worked perfectly. The images are clear and my son spent so much time looking at all the things. Highly suggest this item!!
