  Great Tool Set that Will Not Shock You

  This is not a cheap set of tools, I am impressed not only by the number of tools, but also the quality of these tools. Over the years, I have replaced a lot of electrical sockets, light switches and light fixtures and it never dawned me that there would be tools that were rated to help protect you from electrical mishaps, so this is a nice set to have handy. I am really very good at shutting off the power when working on any switch tied to the electrical, but it’s good to know that these tools offer an insulated safety feature, the tools are VDE insulated and are certified for safe use up to 1000-volts.The tool set looks like a complete home electrical DIY set of Phillips, screwdrivers, pliers, and these tools can also be used in other non-electrical projects. The set I received included 7 different sized slotted screwdrivers, 6 various sized Phillip’s screwdrivers, one voltage test screwdriver, one diagonal cutting pliers, one long nose pilers, one combination pliers, and one water pump plier (Channellock pliers). The set also included a nice hard plastic carrying case. This is a nice well-made set of tools, the handle is comfortable when using, the screwdrivers have a magnetic tip, and the tools have a manganese phosphate finish to protect from corrosion.Ver másVer menos

  Quality insulated tools, but the current price of $70 feels a little high.

  I am not an electrician, but I do a lot of my own repairs around the house. Over the years I have replaced outlets, switches, light fixtures, ceiling fans, and other basic electrical items. Whenever I work around electricity, I always try to use properly insulated tools but so many times I don’t have one. That’s because my current collection of insulated tools are a bunch of random pieces that I have accumulated over the years. So, when I saw this 18 –piece electrician tool set organized in a storage case, I knew it was exactly what I needed. I also looked up the SEDY brand and found out that they are a well-established brand that started in 2009 from Australia. And they have great customer reviews for their tool sets.When the set arrived, I was very happy with quality of the tools. Everything felt sturdy and well-made and all the handles have a comfortable grip to them. All the tools feel solid and have a good weight and feel to them. They definitely don’t feel cheap at all and clearly are designed for regular use. I am actually in the middle of remodeling my entire house, so I was able to test several of the screwdrivers while replacing an outlet. I had no issues at all and the magnetic tips worked great.This is a quality set of insulated tools that feel very well-made and durable enough to last a long time. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the price. At around $70, I think it is priced a little too high.   A good quality set of tools at a reasonable price

  This is a very complete set of high quality tools in a sturdy handled case. Every tool is insulated. The screwdrivers have hardened magnetic tips. I didn't see any instructions with the kit (maybe I tossed them with the outer box) so I'm not sure how to use the included voltage tester. I have other, more professional ones that I'm more familiar with. I think the voltage tester is just a last minute throw-in with no real utility except as a small screwdriver. That being said, I still think this set is a very good value as quality tools are not cheap. These tools are not just for electrical work and are a good kit to have around for general household projects.Ver másVer menos
