Great Setting Spray, Not Greasy, or Drying For My Skin But Strong Fragrance That Lingers
I’ve been using Idole Makeup Magnet Spayr for a few days and I love it! The atomizer is a fantastic, it's the best atomizer I've seen by far in a setting spray. It delivers a super fine, even mist that makes the application really easy. One long spray covers my face, and the atomizer pump doesn't sort of "collapse" when I press it, so I don't get any large "droplets" anywhere, which sometimes happens with my other setting spay.After application, my face never feels sticky, but I do get a nice dewy finish that stays fresh without turning greasy or filmy. It's also a lot more hydrating than my usual setting spray, which makes a difference throughout the day, especially when I'm in an air conditioned space. The longevity is strong. I don’t expect a full 24 hours, but it keeps my makeup looking fresher for a at least 8 hours and I don't feel like I have to do touchups to undereye concealer, which is usually the thing that I need to freshen up the most.But the bad news is the fragrance is the one thing I’m not fully on board with. It’s a heavy floral that comes on strong and lingers for about fifteen minutes. I was actually surprised at how long this scent sticks around! I’d prefer this without that scent since strong floral scents aren't really my thing, but others may feel differently. For me though this heavy scent does limit the useability a bit, because when I'm at work and want to use this just to refresh, I cannot go into a small meeting room immediately afterward as I think the scent is SO strong, others might not find it comfortable. If you’re sensitive to fragrance, especially floral fragrance, this may not be the best match.Even so, the finish and performance keep me using this. I like that it gives me a dewy but non greasy finish and keeps my makeup fresh and bright without drying out my skin. That's a great combo for me and this handled my sometimes too dry, sometimes a bit too oily skin well.For me, the value for money is good because the formula performs well and the misting experience is excellent. I hope Lancome comes out with a travel size since the bottle is fairly large to carry around, but I've stashed mine in my desk at work anyway.Ver másVer menos

Made me switch after 20 years of MAC
MAC's setting spray has held a permanent spot in my life for almost 20 years. The problem is it leaves my skin feeling a bit stiff and tight by the end of the day, almost like it pulled the moisture out. I already trust Lancôme with the rest of my skincare, so trying their setting spray was an easy yes.The bottle has a soft pink finish with a shiny cap, and feels luxurious. The spray nozzle releases a fine, even mist, and zero fat droplets pooling on the skin.It feels almost weightless going on, more like a light toner mist than a heavy product on top of my makeup. It leaves a slight dewy finish rather than a flat matte one, and on me it still looks more like healthy skin than excess oil. My skin runs oily most days, so I was worried about another layer adding shine shine, but it dried down fast without leaving any greasy finish.Where MAC always left my skin feeling stiff and pulled tight, this one doesn't do that at all, even after multiple layers of dry downs. My makeup held up through a full day without a single touch up. My skin still was soft underneath by evening, not a papery feeling sometimes felt with other sprays.It even held up fine as I broke out in sweat in the heat, with no flaking or sliding. I didn't notice any stinging or sensitivity either, which is always a small relief when trying a new product on gentle facial skin.The size makes it easy to keep in my bag for a midday refresh if needed. The scent is a bold floral, more grown up than syrupy sweet, and it's quickly become one of my favorite parts of using this. I love Lancôme’s expertly formulated fragrances.This product has officially earned a permanent spot in my routine and is a great value for the money. Spectacular!!!
I worked for Lancôme for years and even though I know they had launches that weren't perfect, I tended to love them all. In this case, I truly believe this Idôle Setting Spray is amazing. And painfully, I am allergic to it. I have developed issues with my skin since giving birth to my son. He is now a toddler and even though I have been to the doctor, I still can't figure out why there is a permanent rash on my face. Until recently, it was only niacinamide that aggravated it, but lucky me, alcohol denat. has been added to the list. This is a common ingredient in matte setting sprays because it helps them dry quickly and I actually figured it out because of another setting spray that had the word magnet in it. After making sure I couldn't use this spray (my face is still bumpy a day later), I tested it on a friend and on swatches on my arm. I sprayed half of the swatches and half of my friend's face and eight hours later, it was amazing to see the difference. Her blush and bronzer were still noticeable and her highlighter was still bright. I loved their Fix and Forget It years ago and I definitely think this formula is an improvement. Obviously, every Lancôme item is an investment, but I definitely think this is a good value. It also has a lovely floral scent to it. I like it, but I know some people prefer fragrance free products. And the mister is chef's kiss! It is so light and it just lightly hits the face so perfectly. Having had perfect skin and no allergies for the majority of my life makes not being able to use wonderful products like this one very upsetting. Especially since the way it performs is so amazing. Super long lasting but glossy or dewy
I am a loyal lancome customer that has been using lancome since my early twenties. I am in my early forties now and makeup is a completely different application at this age. I still use a custom blend of lancome foundation and I still use lancome eye and lip makeup.I really needed a setting spray and haven't found one that plays nice with my skincare, makeup and spf. I was excited to try this on my vacation for a family celebration. I had back to back days full of events with photos so I needed to have a solid face on otherwise my naturally reddish face looks unfortunate in photos.The atomizer is wonderful for a single long gentle mist of the setting spray. After application, my face did not feel too much tack of sticky ingredients.what I call shiny or sweaty is what is called dewy these days. The finish is a bit glossy for me that still prefers a satin matte finish.The wear longevity is amazing and I didn't have to touch up as much. I wasn't a fan of the glossy look at first but I made it look more natural over my vacation with more practice.True to lancome, there is a significant fragrance. A typical bold yet not matronly floral that comes on strong. It does sort of linger but I like it personally. It's not a favorite profile for younger types but for classic upscale mature women it's more common.I have normal or combination skin that is sensitive and dry in winter. I didn't have sensitivity to the fragrance or formula. This washed off well but I do use a lancome cream cleanser too.Personally the value for money is excellent and within a reasonable price for the brand and quality. I had no issues traveling with this size but I bring a whole bathroom tote on trips when we drive. Keeps my makeup looking fresh
I’ve been using this Lancôme Idôle Setting Spray as the last step in my makeup routine, and it’s done a great job of helping everything stay in place throughout the day. The mist is very fine, so it goes on evenly without leaving large droplets or making my makeup look patchy. Once it dries, my makeup looks fresh and natural instead of overly matte or shiny. I’ve worn it through long days, warm weather, and even a little rain, and my foundation and eye makeup held up much better than they usually do without feeling heavy. I also like that it feels lightweight on my skin. I don’t notice it after it dries, and it doesn’t leave a sticky residue. My skin still feels comfortable by the end of the day, and the added hyaluronic acid gives my makeup a fresh, hydrated look. The bottle sprays consistently, and a few quick spritzes are all I need. Keeps your make-up in tact and makes skin look refreshed and hydrated
I have become a fan of Lancôme over the years, and this Idole Setting Spray is another winner. It has a super fine mist that feels lightweight on my skin and dries almost instantly. It doesn't have an odd smell or come out looking too wet, like other brands I have used. Along with this, my makeup stayed looking fresh throughout the day without feeling sticky or heavy, and I noticed I didn't need to touch up nearly as much. I feel like it made my face look more hydrated too, which is always a bonus in my book.With well known, higher-end brands, I feel that there is usually a high price tag associated with them and that's true for this product as well. I noticed that it is more expensive than some other setting sprays, but I think the quality makes it worth the price. A little goes a long way, and if it helps my makeup last longer, I'm ultimately getting more out of the products I'm already using.
