My skin has started doing some new and annoying things the last couple of years, with the occasional hormonal flare breaking through skin that otherwise stays pretty even. I wanted a treatment from a brand I already trust with the rest of my routine, rather than reaching for something marketed at teenagers. A small flare showed up not long after it arrived, giving me an immediate chance to try it.My skin runs oily most of the time and rarely breaks out outside of these flares, so acne treatments aren't usually something I reach for. I've also got some fine lines starting and a history of going overboard with strong actives. Anything marketed as a heavy treatment usually makes me cautious before the first try.The bottle has an interesting dropper with a little button you press on top, and the design feels and looks more like a luxury serum than a medicated spot treatment. The pump draws up a small amount at a time, which keeps me from wasting product on a spot that only needs one drop. The serum itself is a thin gel, and a single drop spreads over a small area easily.I tap a small amount onto the area rather than rubbing it in, since it doesn't absorb the way a typical face serum does. It hasn't caused any pilling underneath the rest of my routine, though. It also never stung or felt harsh going on, even on already irritated skin.There's a faint scent while it's drying down, but it fades quickly. Lancôme fragrances are always very well formulated and never overpowering though.I apply it after toner with my other serums and before moisturizer at night. If the redness is still noticeable the next morning, I'll dab on a little more before makeup, and it sits fine underneath everything else.The combination of gentle acids manage to treat the breakout without stripping my skin or making the oiliness worse, more than I can say for some past treatments. It's a huge bottle for how little I actually go through, and will likely last a while.A bump that may normally take over a week to disappear looked noticeably smaller within a day or two of starting. By the third day the redness had faded enough that I stopped bothering with concealer over it. The flare healed without leaving behind any dark marks or scars these breakouts sometimes leave.This is a fantastic value for the money, especially next to other Lancôme skincare products I already use and love that run into the hundreds. I'd recommend it for anyone else whose skin has also started throwing curveballs they didn't expect as they've gotten older.Ver másVer menos
