Great Shape, Great Tracking, and Strong Battery Life
I have gotten so used to lightweight gaming mice that anything much over 60 grams now feels strangely heavy, especially in FPS games where I am constantly making quick corrections and large swipes. At 51 grams, the VGN F2 Ultra feels immediately fast and effortless without crossing into that hollow, flimsy territory some ultralight mice fall into.The PAW3950 sensor tracks extremely well. Fast flicks, small aim corrections, and low-sensitivity movements all feel consistent, and I have not noticed spinouts or strange acceleration. The headline 42,000 DPI number is far beyond anything I would realistically use, but the sensor itself feels excellent at normal competitive settings. What matters more to me is that tracking stays predictable whether I am making tiny adjustments or whipping the mouse across the pad.The 8K polling support is another nice performance feature. At the highest rate, cursor movement feels exceptionally responsive on a high-refresh display, particularly in games where input latency matters. I would not pretend that switching from 1K to 8K suddenly makes me dramatically better, but the mouse never feels like it is lagging behind my hand. It also supports adjustable polling rates, so I can drop it lower when I would rather prioritize battery life.The shape works well for claw and relaxed fingertip grip, and the low weight makes long sessions comfortable. The shell feels more solid than the number on the scale would suggest, with no obvious creaking or flex during normal use. The primary buttons have a crisp response, the side buttons are easy to reach without accidental presses, and the scroll wheel feels controlled rather than loose.Connectivity is one of the strongest parts of the package. I use the 2.4GHz wireless mode for gaming, where latency feels essentially indistinguishable from wired use. Bluetooth is convenient for a laptop or secondary device, and USB-C wired mode means I can keep using the mouse while charging. Being able to move between a gaming desktop, laptop, and other devices without keeping separate mice around makes it much more versatile than a wireless mouse that only gives me one connection option.Battery life has also been excellent. The advertised maximum is up to 180 hours under lighter settings, and while actual runtime depends heavily on polling rate and connection mode, I am not constantly thinking about charging it. Running 8K naturally drains the battery faster, but USB-C charging makes topping it off painless.At around $80, the value is strong considering the sensor, 8K wireless polling, 51-gram weight, and three connection modes. There are plenty of expensive esports mice with similar headline specifications, but this delivers the performance I actually care about without pushing into flagship pricing.Overall, the F2 Ultra feels like a properly competitive gaming mouse rather than a budget mouse chasing impressive numbers on the box. It is extremely light, tracks beautifully, feels immediate in-game, and has enough connectivity and battery life to work just as well outside gaming.Ver másVer menos

Great / Light Mouse - USB-C Charging
This is a great mouse. I have several VGN mice, and each one works exactly like you would want.There are a lot of things to think about.DPI – There is a button on the bottom to adjust the DPI to exactly what you want. Some people might think this isn’t a big deal; however, you don’t want to be going into Windows Settings when you need to make this adjustment… and, getting exactly what you want (or are used to) is important. Picture attached showing the color coding for the LED that shows the DPI you get based upon pushing the DPI button and then looking at the LED.Weight – VGN is selling this as an Ultra Light-Weight mouse and it really is. They advertise it as “about” 51 grams… and I measured 52.2 grams when you don’t have the Wireless Dongle inside the mouse. If you’re using Bluetooth and storing the dongle, the mouse measures 53.8 grams. For me, the difference isn’t noticeable… and the dramatic difference between this mouse and my typical Logitech mouse is amazing.Connectivity – You can select Bluetooth or the Wireless Dongle. Pairing Bluetooth is painless. The Wireless connection also works perfectly. Wired connectivity is also provided, but I didn’t use or test that. I only used the Wired connection for charging.Power – this has USB charging. You want to either use the provided charging cable or else you need to ensure that your USB-C end is small… you know you have a good connection because the Mouse LED next to the USB-C cable will light up. If you don’t get an LED light, then your cable isn’t in far enough. I haven’t done a good job of keeping track of the number of hours I’ve run on a single charge… It seems to run “forever”.The price is confusing. Today, the VGN web site says the list price is $70. I paid $99. Today Amazon says it is selling for $89. When I paid $99, I definitely believed it was worth it, as it has all of the features I need for extended detailed work.Overall, a great mouse, and possibly my favorite VGN mouse.Ver másVer menos

Really nice mouse with a lot of customization! MAC FRIENDLY!
This mouse has far surpassed my expectations. Straight out of the box, I questioned the quality simply because of how unbelievably lightweight it is. It almost feels too light at first, but after using it, I quickly realized that's one of its biggest strengths. The materials still feel premium and sturdy, while the reduced weight means less strain on your hand and wrist during long sessions.One of my favorite features is the dedicated DPI button on the bottom of the mouse. Being able to switch sensitivity levels instantly without digging through system settings is incredibly convenient.The customization options are impressive as well. Through the VGN Hub software, you can remap buttons, create up to four onboard profiles, assign special keys, and even record macros. I've attached screenshots of the hub so potential buyers can get a feel for the interface and available settings before purchasing.The mouse supports Bluetooth, wired, and 2.4 GHz wireless connectivity. Personally, I use Bluetooth and do not plan to use the included 2.4 GHz dongle, but I appreciate that VGN built a storage compartment directly into the bottom of the mouse so it won't get lost.For Mac users, there are a few things to know. There is currently no downloadable Mac driver, only a Windows version. However, VGN provides an online version of the hub that still allows full customization. You'll need to use Chrome or Firefox, as Safari is not supported, and you'll need a USB-C cable capable of both charging and data transfer. If the mouse isn't recognized, you're likely using a charge-only cable.Once your settings are saved, they remain on the mouse, so you can disconnect the cable and continue using Bluetooth. You can also continue using the mouse while it's charging.Overall, this is an excellent ultralight mouse with a surprisingly premium feel, useful customization options, and thoughtful features like onboard profiles and dongle storage. The online hub workaround for Mac users was an unexpected bonus, and the DPI button alone has made switching sensitivity much easier.Ver másVer menos
