Exactly what I needed

Not too bad
This thing is perfectly capable of doing the job it is designed to do. If you don't already have a cordless screwdriver, don't mind the pistol grip form factor, and think you might appreciate the bundled bit selection, it should serve you well enough for light-duty jobs. I ordered it because I am often misplacing or forgetting to charge another cordless screwdriver I have and felt that having a backup to offset the fallout from these personal shortcomings might be a good idea (the fallout being the need to resort to a traditional manual screwdriver which is a traumatic experience once you've moved beyond them; I've literally spent more time looking for my cordless unit, or waiting for it to charge, than it would have taken to do a job manually).I don't really understand the case they put this one in though. The screwdriver itself might be mostly fine, but the case doesn't make any sense. It's large enough to warrant having a handle, but it doesn't have one, and there is a ridiculous piece of thin molded plastic inside it that gets in the way but can't really be removed unless you're happy for the contents to fly around everywhere if you don't keep the case upright. They could have at least affixed it to the lid somehow, which is what I have since done using some ridiculously sticky 3M double-sided tape in a couple of strategic spots. Problem solved, but I shouldn't have needed to.Not the end of the world I guess.The bit selection is OK. It covers the basics. Just don't do what I did and use any of the small bits directly. I needed some pliers to get the one I put in out again. Use the bit holder extension that you'll find inside the handle.What's inside the handle is interesting. An ejectable battery (you feel like you're ejecting a magazine when you release it) with some magnetic bit holders that are holding some bits, and also a bit holder extension. This is pretty cool. You can keep four of your favorite bits in there which frees you a little from the tyranny of the case. It also hides a 2000mAh 18650 battery inside it that can potentially be replaced one day if you have access to any sort of spot welder or whatever to reattach a small PCB. This kind of thing is important to me personally in any device with an integrated rechargeable battery because I like to know that I can extend its life in 5 to 7 years or so when it stops holding a decent charge.The ergonomics here are a mixed bag. I like the way it feels in the hand, but I don't personally find the touch screen position to be all that comfortable when I want to quickly toggle forward/reverse. Maybe it's just because I have been using the Denali/Amazon Basics cordless screwdriver for years now which is a dramatically different design. Maybe I will get used to it.Torque? It's OK. I only have the Amazon Basics unit to compare it to, which is well-regarded for punching above its weight, and this MulWark offering has a bit less power than that. It's not a beast, but it's not terrible.All in all, not bad. A mixed bag, but an interesting and still ultimately useful one.Ver másVer menos

Eh, hit and miss
Okay so this is one of those USB rechargeable precision electric screwdriver kits that comes in a hard plastic case with a bunch of tiny bits and accessories.At first glance it actually looks pretty clean and kind of higher-end for what it is. Open it up and it feels like a little tech gadget setup, not something super cheap right away.But once I started using it, a couple things stood out. The case latch snapped off pretty easily on me, just normal opening, which was kind of the first red flag on the build quality. Then while it was sitting on my lap, it slipped off and dropped maybe about 2 feet onto a concrete floor. After that, both the front and rear caps on the driver popped off. They are just pressure-fit, so I was able to snap them right back on, but it definitely didn’t take the drop very well.It still works fine though. The lights come on, it runs, and it has that little internal bit storage rail that slides out like a magazine from the handle, which is actually a pretty clever design since that piece also acts as the battery.Power-wise, it’s very light duty. This is more for small electronics, glasses, or computer-type work. It’s not really meant for wood, or anything where you actually need torque.Overall it’s usable, just feels more like a precision gadget than a durable shop tool. You just have to treat it like something delicate, not something you’d toss around in a toolbox.Ver másVer menos

It looks nice, needs a little bit more torque
I have owned several electric screwdrivers before, I actually still have another one and I was surprised to see how creative the manufacturer was when making this.For starters, the direction toggle is no longer mechanical but you have to press a touch sensitive area on the front of the screwdriver head to select the correct rotation.I was not thrilled with the way it works though. When you end screwing a fastener, it changes rotation on its own so when you are going to install the second fastener you need to remember this and re-select the proper diretion.The selection of different sizes and forms is adequate, clustered in groups for easy organization. One very nice feature of the screwdriver is the ability to remove the battery compartment which is also the handle of the screwdriver, where you can conceal several points as needed so you don't have to carry the whole tray. You can struggle to reinsert it but it is still a nice feature to have.It looks pretty, I have to admit. Different than others with the cylinder shape and all.I only wish it had more torque. I ended up using a regular screw driver when installing the base of my new television because the screws were too difficult to install.Ver másVer menos

Great for quick furniture and small repair jobs
I picked this up for putting together a few flat-pack furniture pieces and it's turned into my go-to for random screw jobs around the house. The electric mode saves so much time compared to a regular screwdriver, especially when you're driving the same size screw over and over. Once it's mostly in, you can just switch to manual and finish it by hand so you don't strip anything or overtighten.The bit selection is solid too. Between the precision bits, sockets, and drill bits, I haven't run into a job yet where I had to dig out a different tool. The magnetic storage in the handle is a nice touch since I don't have to hunt around for the right bit, it's already clipped in there.Battery life has been good so far, I've gone through a few projects without needing to recharge. The LED light is genuinely useful too, I used it assembling a shelf under my desk where there wasn't much natural light and it made a real difference seeing what I was doing.The touchscreen for switching direction takes a little getting used to since it's not a physical switch, but once you get the hang of tapping the center it becomes second nature. Also wish it came with a case or pouch to keep everything together, right now I'm just tossing it in a drawer with the bits.Overall, really happy with this one. It's compact, does what it says, and has replaced a couple of other tools I used to reach for.Ver másVer menos
