Worth the price! exceeding expectations
This is actually exceeding my expectations. The quality is nice and worth the price, it’s like a heavier woven fabric on the top and the back is soft. The markers are what surprised me. I was expecting something that was going to bleed a little but these are great makers. They are fine point and you can color over other colors without transferring. I bought it for a week-long lake trip as something to do while we all sit around, or in between activities and meals. Everyone has been having fun creating patterns and colors on the cats. It’s only day 2 but I feel like I got my moneys worth already.Ver másVer menos

Cool, fun, and relaxing!
This picnic mat is a phenomenal idea! I take it with my group of mom friends and we and the kids color on it. I had one friend comment how relaxing it was to just sit on a blanket at the "beach" (we don't have true beaches here), and just color. Here is the good and bad. At first I was disappointed there was so much black on the mat, however this turned out to be a great thing. Each little cat/paw print is surrounded by black, so even the youngest members of our group (3 years old) could color in the lines. Even the boys in the group who hate to color loved getting to color on the picnic mat. I also thought we would quickly run out of cats to color. As you can see in my photos, that isn't the case. Here are the somewhat disappointing things about this mat. -One, the fleece like fabric on the back does tend to pick up some grass etc., and two, the markers, while permanent and SUCH a good variety of colors, do fade in the wash. My husband said to just buy a pack of sharpies. He might be right. First picture is of before the wash, second picture is of after the first wash. I didn't treat it special for the wash as I wanted to see what it would do. It got warm water, heavy cycle with towels.Overall though, I still think this is a really cool product. If I need a present for someone or for a family, this will definitely be a possibility.Ver másVer menos

Such a fun idea! Versatile picnic blanket and paint markers.
I’ll start off with the negatives, even though I’m giving this product five stars.First, the price would definitely be a deterrent if I hadn’t received this as part of the vine program. $40 for a picnic mat is too expensive for my budget. Also, when I think of a picnic mat, I expect some sort of waterproof backing. This product is definitely more of a blanket. It has a very soft fabric underside and is not waterproof.Those two things being said, my kids and I absolutely love this blanket! It works well for a picnic if used on a totally dry surface just fine! It’s washable and folds up very easily just like a regular blanket but it’s thicker and it’s good quality so it will hold up overtime better than just using a throw blanket.The size is perfect and fits my three kids and me just fine.The cat print is so adorable! I almost debated not using the acrylic markers because I like it just black-and-white. But then I thought, how could I rob my kids of this joy? When will they ever get another chance to draw all over blanket?! I’m glad I gave in as we all are having a lot of fun decorating this. My plan is to let them decorate one or two cats every picnic we have this summer to draw out (get it?!) the enjoyment. Even my three-year-old who mostly scribbles is happy with his cat because it’s colorful now.This would make such a fun gift for anybody creative. I love that the activity can be done. Wow using the blanket as a picnic mat. Meaning we can go outside and all hang out on this, while also decorating it. The acrylic markers themselves deserve five stars as they are excellent. The paint dries quickly, the pens have plenty of ink in them and overall just feel high-quality. If you chose not to decorate this, Matt, you could use the acrylic markers for a plethora of other activities!We are so happy to have received this product and I highly recommend it. The value is there, especially if you think about how much you would spend on a less cute picnic mat plus as high-quality paint markers.Ver másVer menos

More blanket than picnic mat, but super cute and fun!
I wouldn't call this so much a picnic mat, as it doesn't feel like it would be very waterproof, which is what I look for in a picnic mat. We will probably use this more as a blanket. That said, it's a great blanket! The backing is very soft and fleecy. It's a great size, and the artwork looks fantastic. I actually quite like how it looks black and white until we get it all colored.The markers come with just about every color you'd need! They're basically paint markers, but they work really well. The marker box is written in Chinese or something, which is kind of weird.I was really impressed with how the blanket colored. The black is dark enough that you can't see the color bleed through which makes it look very clean. The colors show up very vibrant, and it's really easy to color in. It dries instantly so no worries of smearing. I'm sure the markers themselves aren't washable so we will have to be careful having the kids use them. Once we are done with the blanket, we can use the acrylic markers for other things.All in all, I'm excited to work on this through the summer with my kids!Ver másVer menos

Unique and fun
This picnic mat is such a fun and unique idea!! I have never seen anything quite like it. The black and white cat design is super cute, and being able to color it in makes it feel more interactive than a regular mat.It’s a great size too!! There's plenty of room for sitting, playing, or spreading out snacks. The included markers are a nice touch, especially for keeping kids (or honestly, adults) entertained.It’s not just for picnics either. This coloring picnic mat is a really cute idea, especially for kids who love to draw and color. So Fun for the Kids!
I got this for my girls because they love coloring and I wanted something bigger they could both use together. When we opened it, they were immediately excited and started picking out their markers. The size is honestly perfect and gives them plenty of space to spread out. I also love that it feels durable and not like something that will tear easily!We’ve used it multiple times already and it keeps them entertained way longer than I expected. It’s nice having something creative that doesn’t involve screens and keeps them focused. The markers show up really well on the mat and it’s easy to clean up after.
