Excellent upgrade for my daughter’s 24" Ozark Trail mountain bike
I received these DFNWSSS BR-BL-MT200 Hydraulic Disc Brakes free through Amazon Vine and installed them on my daughter’s 24-inch Ozark Trail mountain bike to replace the original cable brakes. She’s getting braver on trails and small hills, and I wanted more reliable stopping power for safety. What’s included:The set comes with the left front (800mm hose) and right rear (1500mm hose) hydraulic brake levers and calipers, plus all the necessary mounting hardware. The build quality looks solid for the price — clean finish, two-piston calipers, and everything arrived well-packaged.Installation:Installation was straightforward for someone who’s done basic bike maintenance. I removed the old cable brakes, reused the existing rotors and mounts on the Ozark Trail frame and fork, and bolted on the new hydraulic calipers and levers. The hoses were a little longer than needed for a 24" kids’ bike (they’re clearly designed to also fit full-size bikes), but they routed easily and tucked out of the way with a couple of zip ties. No cutting was required.Best part: I didn’t need to bleed the brakes at all. They felt firm and ready to go right out of the box after a quick adjustment to center the calipers over the rotors. The whole process took about 45 minutes to an hour, including final tweaks.Performance:These make a noticeable improvement over the stock cable brakes. Stopping power is much stronger and more consistent, with better modulation so my daughter can slow down smoothly instead of the old grabby feel. The levers are comfortable for her smaller hands, and braking feels confident on pavement, gravel, and light trails. We’ve put them through a few rides already with no fade or issues. For a budget hydraulic set, they perform really well on a kids’ bike. The extra hose length isn’t a problem on this smaller frame — it just gives flexibility if you ever want to move them to a larger bike later.Minor notes:The levers are slightly longer than some premium models, but it hasn’t been an issue.Hardware is basic but worked fine. I checked bolt tightness after the first couple of rides.Overall, this is a great, affordable upgrade that significantly improves safety and control on a kids’ mountain bike. If your child’s bike has disc brake mounts and you’re tired of weak cable brakes, these are worth it. I’m happy with the results and would recommend them to other parents.Ver másVer menos

Good Shimano Clone
This hydraulic braking set is a great clone of the MT200 Shimano brake set up. I ordered just the calipers and brake levers and it's all arrived unharmed in an unmarked box. The installation was straight forward just remove the old brakes and reassemble. The calipers feature standard adjustability to move the brake shoes further in or out from the rotor depending on your set up. All included parts look pretty much authentic and the parts are very durable and well made. Decent value for money here. They fit perfectly and installed in minutes. Good product! Especially for a budget build/upgrade.Ver másVer menos

Nice set of counterfeits.
These are a nice set of fake Shimano MT200 brakes. These are probably the most counterfeited brake design in the world. As such they look great. They look like the real deal. They also perform well with big stopping power with only the pressure from one or two fingers. The brake levers are big. I prefer the shorter two finger style, but these work great too. Be careful as they are much grabbier than mechanical brakes. They install easily enough with the included hardware, but they may be too long and dorky looking. Then you'd have to buy a cutter, and olives, and an olive press tool, and then bleed the brakes with mineral oil. It could get involved. They are painted well for durability and corroaion resistance. The bolts come with thread locker which is a nice touch. It is a shame they violated Shimanos trade dress, because Amazon will remove this product once someone reports it as a counterfeit. It would have been better just to put another brand name on them. Overall, they are a great item, but they are illegal.Ver másVer menos
