HD-2D Adventure
The Adventures of Elliot is made by the team who brought us Octopath Traveler and Bravely Default, two critically acclaimed JRPGs with stunning visuals and excellent gameplay. This game is no different, offering HD-2D visuals at their best, with action adventure gameplay similar to that of the Mana series and even the Legend of Zelda. You play as Elliot, an adventurer who is asked to explore some ruins, which leads to the discovery of a time traveling device. That device is then used by the antagonist to travel to a time where he can rule the world. Now, its up to Elliot to travel to various time periods to put an end to the madness. During your travels you will explore dungeons and a decent sized world. Dungeons and the overworld change with the time periods, and it makes exploration fun and interesting from a story perspective. This is an action adventure game that plays like Zelda, where you swing a sword, block with a shield, and use other items/weapon/magic to battle or solve puzzles. Enemies range from very weak to extremely powerful, but never unfair as you have so many tools at your disposal. There is a Magicite box that you can fill with gems that give different stat boosts and other powerful effects for weapons. Each weapon gets its own box so you are not handicapped by other gems.Music is similar to that of Octopath Traveler and some of the tracks sound the exact same. Most of the music is uplifting and optimistic, much like Elliot himself. Game runs a smooth 4K 60FPS with no issues so far. You can shut off the blur and other visual settings in the menu. This game looks incredible and my dream is that Square Enix gives games like Final Fantasy 4-6 the HD-2D treatment. I cannot find a single flaw with this game.Ver másVer menos

A love letter to adventure and RPGs
There are games you enjoy, and then there are games that quietly find a permanent place in your heart. The Adventures of Elliot was one of those rare experiences for me.What surprised me most was how deeply I connected with every character. They all felt genuine, flawed, kind, funny, and human in ways that made it impossible not to care about them. Their victories felt like my victories, and their struggles stayed with me long after I put the controller down. It's been a long time since a game made me this emotionally invested. The entire adventure carried a warmth and sense of wonder that reminded me of how I felt the first time I played Final Fantasy IX and Kingdom Hearts. It captured that same feeling of stepping into a magical world filled with unforgettable characters, heartfelt moments, and a sense that every new place held another surprise waiting to be discovered. That kind of nostalgia is incredibly difficult to recreate, yet The Adventures of Elliot somehow managed to do exactly that.More than anything, this game left me feeling hopeful. It reminded me why I fell in love with video games in the first place. It's a story about adventure, friendship, and finding light even in difficult moments, and it affected me in a way very few games have. I finished it with a full heart and a genuine sense of gratitude that I got to experience it.The Adventures of Elliot isn't just a game I'll remember. It's one I'll carry with me for a very long time.Hope is always there.Ver másVer menos

Amazing adventure with Elliot and friends!
After several hours of gameplay, this action adventure RPG is becoming one of my favorites. The gameplay is top-notch, offering a diverse range of weapons and enemies to defeat. The graphics and art direction are beautiful, and the story is engaging. The game is challenging and rewarding, especially on the highest difficulty setting. If you’re a fan of the over top view Zelda games, this is worth checking out.A very, very minor complaint: outside of cutscenes, the voice sound design could have used some polish since the characters often talk over one another. And they talk randomly much too frequently even on the lower setting. This takes nothing away from the entire package tho.Ver másVer menos

★★★★★ 5/5Adventures of Elliot is a fantastic reminder of why I love video games. From the moment I started playing, I was drawn into its world by its charm, creativity, and sense of adventure. The game strikes an excellent balance between exploration, storytelling, and gameplay, constantly giving me new reasons to keep playing. The environments are beautifully designed and full of personality, making every new area feel rewarding to discover. The gameplay is approachable while still offering enough depth to stay engaging throughout the journey. Whether you're exploring, solving challenges, or progressing through the story, the game consistently feels fun and satisfying. What really sets Adventures of Elliot apart is its heart. The characters are memorable, the story is uplifting and engaging, and the overall experience captures the feeling of going on a true adventure. It's the kind of game that reminds you why gaming can be such a special hobby. If you're looking for a game with charm, great gameplay, and a sense of wonder, Adventures of Elliot is an easy recommendation. This is one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had in a long time and a game I won't soon forget.Highly recommended.Ver másVer menos
