  Expensive, but good.

  A few really good things about it. First, it mixes really well (just used a shaker bottle) in both water and whole milk. It doesn't really change the consistency of the liquid like other protein powders (didn't seem to get a whole lot thicker). Not sure about other liquids. Second, it tastes pretty well compared to other protein powders I use. The taste seemed to be a bit muted in milk than in water. Finally, the powder itself seems to be of high quality...is light, easy to scoop, and easy to dump into the bottle. It would have been 5-stars if it wasn't for the price. Given the number of servings and the lower end of grams of protein, I would probably go back to my normal protein powder (plus the bag is almost impossible to re-seal).Ver másVer menos

  TASTY, Good protein powder from grass fed cows

  I've tried quite a few protein powders over the years, and LEGION Whey+ in Red Velvet Cake is easily one of the more enjoyable flavors I've had. Most "dessert" flavored proteins either end up tasting overly sweet or just like regular chocolate with a different label slapped on it. This one actually has a distinct red velvet flavor with a light cake-like sweetness and a subtle cream cheese frosting vibe that makes it stand out from standard chocolate protein powders.The flavor is what impressed me most. I usually get tired of chocolate protein pretty quickly, but the Red Velvet Cake flavor feels a little more unique and doesn't have that heavy cocoa taste that can become repetitive after a few weeks. It tastes great mixed with just water, and even better with milk.Mixability is excellent too. A quick shake in a bottle and it dissolves smoothly with very little foam or grit. That's something I've seen mentioned by other LEGION users and I'd agree with it completely.I also appreciate that it's a whey isolate made from grass-fed whey with a pretty clean ingredient list and no added sugar. At 22g of protein per serving, it fits easily into my daily routine without adding a lot of extra calories.Overall, if you're bored with the usual chocolate and vanilla options, the Red Velvet Cake flavor is worth trying. It's one of those flavors that actually tastes different enough to keep things interesting, and it's become one of my favorites in the protein rotation.   Red Velvet Just Jumped Into My Legion Top Tier

  I love Legion, and Whey+ is already one of the few proteins I trust enough to keep buying. The ingredient quality is the reason I come back: grass-fed whey isolate, no artificial sweeteners, no random proprietary nonsense, and a brand that seems to care about what people are actually putting in their bodies. Red Velvet Cake is a new flavor for me, and it immediately landed near the top of my Legion Whey+ list. It has that cocoa-and-cream vibe without tasting like frosting dumped into a shaker bottle.My favorite mix so far is 300g almond milk or Fairlife fat free, 40g Legion Whey+, 5g Legion collagen, and 150g strawberries. Blended cold, it turns into a red velvet strawberry shake that feels like a treat but still fits exactly where I want it nutritionally. The flavor holds up with water too, but milk or almond milk makes it much better.
