Easy, smart installation, despite flush mount. Quiet and attractive.

I picked up this fan for my home office. I was not certain at first whether it being a flush mount fan would make installation difficult. I have retrofitted in three other ceiling fans in my house, but all of those had down rods, and even then, one of them was a real challenge to wire and fit the remote controller in properly. I just imagined that a flush mount would give even more challenges. Thankfully, this TCL ceiling fan was one of the easiest fans to install.The fan comes with a ceiling bracket. Mount it to a fan receptacle. Then the rest of the fan can be temporarily hung off an included steel wire while doing the electrical wiring. Once done, just fit the rest of the fan onto the bracket. The hanging wire was such a smart element that made this install so much easier than some of the other fans - no more struggling to hold the fan with one hand while twisting wires with the other (or finding a second ladder to balance the fan on).Once installed, the fan is whisper quiet. The remote is responsive. It just works and produces decent airflow. I would say the other fans, which are more costly, produced a little more air flow because they had curved blades, while this fan comes only with flat blades.In addition, the blades themselves appear to be a composite material, not wood, so are a slight step back from the other fans in terms of material quality. However, the rest of the fan is quality metal.Everything ceiling fan with a light I have picked up recently, regardless of cost, has a light dome that is some sort of poly plastic, not glass, which is unfortunate. This TCL is the same. When the light is off, the dome looks plastic. When the light is on, it looks great.Due to the plastic light dome and composite, not wood, blades, I dinged this fan a star. But it is an excellent fan and a good price. The biggest bonus is how easy it is to install compared to others.Ver más
