The tool is good, but you will have to search for video tutorials to use well.
The first thing I want to state is that the cutter itself works exactly as expected.Unfortunately there are not instructions, so this is likely not good for people wanting to quickly make their own backup keys, but if you are willing to sit through some tutorial videos which you will have to look up 'LISHI Key Cutter How to use' videos. You can master this fairly easily.I got this because of the stupidity I had to deal with when I needed a new car key made. That's another story. This tool alone would have saved me a lot of anger.I do have a lot of locks that eventually I will need key copies for people, and after dealing with some ridiculous people and their store policies on key cutting, I would rather just do it myself.I don't yet know how to use the included key blanks or measurers or what ever these thin things are. I have not found anything yet that discusses their use. Thier blades are too thin and narrow to be used as an actual key.If you have the original key, get a proper blank and clamp it exactly inline with the lock stop on the blade near the finger grip end. Then simply clip the blank with this tool, and for the deeper teeth, let it chip at it in multiple bites until you cut the metal out as deep as needed, to keep from messing up the cutter. It is really that simple. An excellent clamp is necessary for success when simply copying an existing key.Ver másVer menos
