And I mean that as a compliment. Most candles these days cost a small fortune and barely scent the room unless you’re standing directly over them. This one? I simply took the lid off, and I could already smell it throughout my open-concept home. The listing suggests it’s ideal for rooms up to about 300 square feet, but I’d say it easily handles much larger spaces. If you’re looking for a candle with serious fragrance throw, this one absolutely delivers.The double wicks also deserve a shoutout because they create a nice, even burn. Combined with the natural soy wax and impressive 110-hour burn time, this feels like a candle you’ll enjoy for quite a while.Now for the reason I deducted one star. The description mentions that the floral notes are grounded with warm musk and amber woods. As someone who usually prefers florals only when they’re balanced with richer, woodier, or slightly masculine undertones, that sounded perfect. Unfortunately, my nose found nothing but rich gardenia with a light touch of jasmine. The floral fragrance is beautiful if that’s what you’re after, but I couldn’t detect any musk or woody notes whatsoever.The appearance is simple but elegant.   This isn’t the brand’s best, unfortunately.

  I’m very familiar with M&Sense candles as I’ve bought a few different candles from this company before. I have one in my living room and another in my bathroom, as I write this.I’ve always been pleased with the brand because the candles have wonderful scents and they’re reasonably priced. But, that hasn’t been the case with this candle, unfortunately.It doesn’t smell bad exactly but it doesn’t smell anything like either gardenia or jasmine. It just has a basic floral smell and even that doesn’t smell natural.I will say that you get a lot of candle for your money. The candle is huge and it ordinarily would be a steal at twenty dollars but not if you’re not getting the scent you want. If the company is testing this as a new fragrance, I suggest they go back to research and development because they missed the mark with this one.It won’t stop me from continuing to purchase other candles from this brand. The unboxing experience impresses.The candle is large - 19.7 oz., with heavy, cream-colored glass that is pleasing to the eye.It is a simple, clean, unadorned design, and the case for this is made clear the moment you remove the screw lid.The scent speaks volumes.I'm a longtime candle fan yet had no idea what to expect regarding the gardenia jasmine combo.I find both complex scents lovely, complex and calming; I have never experienced them paired.The first sniff was very satisfying. This scent pairing is thoughtfully and expertly executed.The rich scents of jasmine and gardenia are perfectly balanced in the 100% botanical wax.They riff nicely off each other. This candle smells like an exclusive botanical garden room.The scent is genuine, distinct and pleasing without being overpowering.Impressive.Merely left open, the candle brings pleasing, rich and complex scent notes to your room.This deepens in a satisfying way when the candle is lit and burned.
