It's a capable entry gaming laptop, but-
It's a good entry level gaming laptop that will run games okay out of the box, but you need to install a second stick of ram to get all the performance this machine has to offer, especially if you want very high fps for esports since that is more taxing on the cpu. This laptop has only one stick of ram (single channel), that makes the processor use only a 64 bits bus instead of a 128 bit bus, which noticeably bottlenecks it, even for basic, non gaming tasks. Adding a second ram with the same capacity, speed and CAS latency is best to enable dual Channel, this will do two things, it will double the capacity to 32gb which is the sweet spot atm (16 gb is becoming the new 8 gb ram AKA not enough), and doubles the cpu bus width to 128 bits. With 1x16gb ram my cpu used to max out and gpu sat around 50% usage (in some games), but after installing a second stick of ram it now has overall higher fps, uses the gpu more, has better 1% and 0.1% lows and normal, everyday usage is noticeably snappier. It has a capable cpu, it's just limited by the single channel ram.Lucky for you this laptop uses ddr4 ram which is still much, MUCH cheaper than ddr5 ram. Ram prices are not expected to come down at all until 2028 at the very least, so yeah...For those who don't know, if you decide to buy this laptop and add a second stick of ram, make sure to buy SODIMM ram, not the bigger, normal PC ram which don't fit in laptopsVer másVer menos
