Best portable speaker out on the market now!!!
Wow, this is likely the best portable speaker I have ever owned!!! The size is super portable for all sorts of travel and trips, whether day trips, or flying somewhere for weeks. The sound that comes out of this device is truly remarkable for its size - loud and plenty of bass to keep you satisfied. The options for mounting with the band on bikes or other such devices or the magnetic are awesome! It also connects to multiple devices at once. At such a price point, I cannot imagine you’d get a better speaker. This is now my go-to for all trips!Ver másVer menos

Excellent speaker... A worthy upgrade of the well-reviewed Stormbox Micro 2.
I have been a happy owner of the Tribit Stormbox Micro 2 for a couple of years. I own two and frequently listen to them in TWS stereo mode.I was fortunate enough to beta test the Stormbox 3 and have been using it for the past 3 months. It is an amazing speaker.To be direct, you don't buy speakers of this size for audiophile sound quality. What really sells these micro speakers is their utility, robustness, and portability.The killer feature of the Tribit SB Micro 3, in my opinion, is its magnetic base. There are two magnets on the bottom which elevates the speaker about a quarter of an inch. these magnets are fairly strong, and it surprised me how useful having a magnetic base is. You can stick it on your car, on the side of the refrigerator, on a locker, on basically any surface that will interact with magnets. And because of the rubber feet, it tends to stay put... even while vertical.Now, of course the sound is solid and great. I find that it's slightly more Bassy than the SB Micro 2. There is a good amount of digital signal processing going on. I found on some tracks that listening above 66% volume tended to cut down on the response on some tracks in order to avoid distortion. So if you want quality and faithful reproduction for your music, don't listen above 66% volume. If you want just loudness, or are listening to a podcast, higher volumes are great.The Micro 3 is compatible with Tribit's app. You can modify equalizer settings, customize idle off times, update firmware, etc. Perfectly serviceable and covers the basics.There is a rubber plug that covers USB-C charging port to help with water resistance. I accidentally dropped the Micro 3 once from around 4 feet onto a hard laminate floor with no seeming issues.The rubber strap is improved over the SB Micro 2. It seems more versatile and should mount on handlebars, a branch, fence, etc just fine.Is it telling that I'm buying another for True Wireless Stereo? It should. I just wish they had colors other than black (so I can know which is right and left (white and blue colors are coming soon).EDIT : TWS with the Micro 3 is amazing. Do yourself a favor : buy 2, lay in bed, and set them on either side of your head about a foot away (make sure the volume is down first do you don't blow your ears out). The sound is excellent... Awesome little blutooth speaker
I love this speaker. For it's size it has clear sound with good base and volume. It is very portable and the strap and magnet work well for attaching it where ever you need it. Long battery life too.

Good Sound, Poor Mounting Options
I normally use a pair of earbuds when riding my bicycle, but I wanted a way to listen to my music and still be able to hear the traffic and dangers around me. This little speaker reached beyond my expectations as far as sound; really good volume with super quality base. It attaches to my handlebars fine with the rubber strap on the back, but I gave it 4 stars because it moves around when I hit larger bumps and I am constantly having to straighten it back into position. It would be nice if they had incorporated folding mounting fingers like you see on action camera's; this would greatly increase mounting options for various uses and provide a much more secure way of mounting; however, it serves its purpose, and I feel much more aware of my surroundings now that I do not have to use earbuds.Update: This speaker has now fallen off my handlebars 2 times while riding. The first time I was doing 20mph when it popped off. It rolled like a wheel for about 30 feet, but never stopped playing music and suffered no damage. The last time I was doing about 23 mph when it fell off, and my rear wheel rolled directly over it; again, it never stopped playing music and suffered no damage. So this gets 5 stars for durability, but it's terrible for having no secure mounting option.I uploaded a video to try to demonstrate the sound quality and volume, but my GoPro's built in mics do not do it justice. This little speaker easily drowns out the wind noise, produces good base, and allows you to enjoy your music while bike riding.Ver másVer menos

GREAT clarity of sound!
This little speaker is amazing. The sound is so crisp and clear, I am hearing things in the voices and music that I had been missing just listening to the phone. I listen to classical, popular music, and anything but death metal and country. I don't like wearing ear plugs, so this is the perfect speaker for gardening or working around the yard, and listening to music when working around the house. The speaker is easy to use (very user friendly) and there is a long range, so my phone blue tooth connection doesn't need to be too close. Only disadvantage: I have an old iphone 8 and even with the correct usb c to lightening connector I can't get the speaker to charge the phone. (That's not a necessity, however.) The quality of sound is a joy! (Especially for a speaker so small and inexpensive.) Highly recommend if you are a music lover.Ver másVer menos

A clear upgrade to SB Micro 2!
The quick review is at the bottom of this.:::: otherwise read onI've been using the Stormbox Micro 2 for 3 years now, a pair of them at that. One of the two stopped holding as much charge late last year so I was ready to make an upgrade. I almost bought a replacement micro 2 so I can run stereo or party mode again but I'm glad I waited a little longer for the newer micro 3 model.One of the most obvious upgrade noticable off the bat is the ability to reach louder levels without distortion. I feel like the micro 3 can get up to higher volumes and still keep the same clarity. The sound tuning is very much the same, a somewhat mid-bass and mids centric sound. It provides enough deep bass to satisfy* but doesn't quite reach to lower frequencies that say a Bose can (however Bose has a really subdued treble range for a tradeoff on their deep reaching bass).*One of the newest feature is a built in bass boost on the speaker, if you have the micro 2 think of having that bass and being able to raise it two clicks from stock without affecting the mids and highs. A nice addition to the Tribit tuning of a clarity centric sound. The highs are also decent but the very top end in the treble range is subdued as well - as it should. This will not be an issue for most of the music people will be playing through a portable, nor should the tuning be producing sparkling highs on a speaker to be carried around. One could even say that you wouldn't want sparkling highs on a portable but I digress. I would say that the mids and highs are properly tuned for a portable, an advantage over say the Bose tuning of a bass/mid heavy sound.I will buy a second unit to use in stereo or party mode but to be honest a single micro 3 produces the same levels two micro 2s minus the stereo feature of having 2 units paired. Unfortunately the micro 2 and 3 models are not compatible so pairing the two gens are not possible. With a 2nd micro 3 model paired I would think the pair of speakers can really get up in volume to fill a large room. Bass boost on for the pair and now you're ready to host a small party.Just buy it, the best for the price and very competitive at higher price ranges!Ver másVer menos
