Well, it turned out the processor was the issue the whole time! This board is probably fine!
DIMM A2 defective on arrival on that board. DIMM B2 worked fine, but if only one out of 2 Memory slots work then what is the point? I tried and updated the BIOS successfully but that did not fix the issue. I tried a different brand of RAM: same issue. I tried with the built-in graphic chipset and one of my trusted graphics cards: same issue. I even tried 3 different power supplies with the last one being a 1000 watt one: same thing. DIMM B2 worked but as soon as you put a Memory stick into A2, no go. I even tried to loosen the heatsink as suggested on numerous forums, still no luck. I tried everything short of a different processor, which I don't have any spares laying around. I usually am happy with and got lucky with MSI products throughout the years, but I'm going to RMA that one unfortunately and go with something else. For the positive, Bios was easy to update and easy to navigate through and seemed pretty stable. If you can get your MOBO to work this would be a great buy, but there's always that possibility that you might have to RMA it.UPDATE:It turned out the Processor was the issue. There probably was nothing wrong with the board. I ordered a different board from MSI and got the same issue. I ordered a new AMD processor, got it all set up last night and we are in business!Ver másVer menos
