punches above its price point
I have been using a wired XBox one wired factory controller for the last several years. I went with the OEM controller after trying a couple of lower priced aftermarket controllers that felt cheap and less durable than the official controller from microsoft. So fast forward a few years, and my trusty controller is getting a little worn, so I was up for a replacement.I had heard that the more recent aftermarket controllers were pretty good, so I bought two of them from different brands to try out. I ended up keeping the Super Nova, even though it was cheaper and had less high-end "features" than the other controller. I just liked it better -The super nova FEELS like a quality controller. it's got some heft to it (similar to OEM) and all the materials feel of good quality. The sticks and triggers are HE and feel great. at least as good as the official xbox controller, and definitely a lot better than the old 360 controllers. They action is very smooth and consistent. There are built in trigger stops for FPS games that are nice to have too. This controller also has motion capability, but I have not used this feature yet.The face buttons are tactile membrane buttons, similar to the official XB One controller. They feel very good to me, and a quick positive action when you press them. They don't have the pre-travel that the microswitches on the other controller did. At first I thought I wanted a controller with the clicky microswitches, but I discovered they don't feel as good to me, and are a bit mushy before the switch engages.The D-pad definitely feels better than the official xb one D-pad for sure. Not quite as good as the more expensive controller which used microswitches (the only place I thought the microswitches felt better). But since I really don't use the D-pad on the games I play, it wasn't enough to spend more on the other controller.Also, this controller comes with a charging dock and is still cheaper than many other controllers in this category! The dock has a slot for wireless dongle so you don't have to use an extra USB port to play wirelessly. The controller can also be played in wired mode with a usb-c cable.And the icing on the cake is the GameSir software that you download to update the firmware and change the settings. This is the first time I've had software to customize the settings on a controller, and I am impressed! You can adjust deadzones, and sensitivity curves on both the sticks and triggers to get the response you want. I didn't expect this level of control on a "budget" controller.Ver másVer menos

The best deal and feel for switch 2
A killer deal for a switch pro controller. I like to try everything when I buy tech. I got the 8bit do Ultimate BT, the Easy SMX S10 lite, the Mobapad Chitu 2, the Nintendo Pro Controller 2 and an old Power A switch 1 controller.The 2 I kept are the Super Nova and now the easy smx s10 lite (because of the in game mappable back buttons, great feature). Both were $35 (i got the super nova open box).I did not find the Nintendo Pro Controller to be super comfortable and I am not the biggest fan of digital triggers. Super nova has analog and can be switched to short throw if/when you want. The sticks are nice. More than good for switch. And the buttons have a nice satisfying “clunk” sound. D pad is super solid although not top tier. And the back buttons have a great design as they stick out some. The Pro controller back buttons are flush and sort of hard to get at.You can remap buttons via the switch software. You cannot map the back buttons in switch SW. but you can map on the fly easily. Its a nice looking controller. Comes with charge dock and a dongle if you want to use it. And can use the dongle plugged into the dock then wired to the switch (though it does not charge when switch 2 is sleeping, bummer). I could not make it wake the switch. Even after trying the joy con hack thing. O well. (Easy smx s10 does wake).Overall a total steal. The most comfortable of any of the controllers i tried also. I have medium ish hands. The 8bit do is a phenomenal controller except for that awful shape they are using. The shoulders stick out too far. If they conform to the more standard xbox shape those will be fantastic.Ver másVer menos

Excellent Controller for the Price – Great Features and Performance
I recently purchased the GameSir Super Nova controller for about $49.99, and I have been very impressed with it so far. For the price, it offers a lot of features and solid performance, making it a great option for gamers looking for a reliable controller without paying a premium.The controller works with multiple platforms, including PC, Android, iOS, Luna, and Amazon TV. It supports wired, Bluetooth, and wireless connections, which makes it very flexible depending on how you prefer to play. The setup was straightforward, which is always a plus.Build quality feels solid overall. I did not notice any major issues with the construction, though the removable faceplate can be a little difficult to remove. Aside from that minor annoyance, everything feels well-built. The back trigger,s in particular, feels strong and responsive. The back paddles have a small amount of play, but not enough to cause any problems during gameplay.Performance has been excellent in my experience. In fact, it performs better than my Xbox Elite Series 2 controller in some situations. One feature I really like is that the triggers can be adjusted for faster or slower response times, which is useful depending on the type of game you are playing.The controller also comes with some nice extras in the box, including a wireless dongle, charging cable, manual, stickers, and a charging dock. Very Odd Button Placement - Why GAMESIR!?!? Why?
This a difficult review to write since I really like a lot about this controller (especially at this price point), but it has one GLARING issue (at least in my use case) that makes me not like it and ultimately, forced me to return it.POSITIVES: The sticks and triggers feel great, the RGB lighting is a neat touch, and the included charger works well. Connectively seemed to work very well while I used the controller (via the USB dongle).NEUTRAL: The A, B, X, and Y buttons, and the directional pad feel okay. Nothing special compared to the sticks and triggers. The controller feels a little on the lighter side. Not that I want to hold a heavy controller, but it definitely makes it feel less than premium (for this price not a big deal). I am not sure if the lighter weight is partly due to a smaller battery size. I did not use it long enough to test the battery life. The app used to program the controller is fine. It is very simple, but it works.NEGATIVE: Now for the one thing about this controller that absolutely makes no sense to me and makes it unusable. The placement of the menu (start) button and the back button make NO SENSE on this controller. It copies an Xbox controller layout in every way except for these two buttons. For some reason, they decided to move the home (Xbox) button down and to the right a little, added an extra button to the left of that and then placed the menu and back buttons ABOVE those two buttons at the top. Look at the pictures of the device and you'll understand what I am describing. Not only does this go against muscle memory for an Xbox controller, but it also makes reaching those buttons feel very unnatural (they are much higher than a regular Xbox controller), and I was constantly pressing the home button by mistake. This might not be a big deal if you rarely use these buttons, but I play a lot of modded games, and end up needing all of the buttons available, so I end up using these buttons pretty frequently, I did try remapping them to the back buttons (this controller has two), but my bigger hands just meant I was constantly pressing them on accident.If it wasn't for this very odd choice of button placement I would love this controller, but for me, it is not usable with this button layout. It looks like this is a common theme with GAMESIR controllers, and I wish I had noticed before purchasing.

Surprisingly solid controller with great features, but the triggers feel a bit loose
I picked up the GameSir Super Nova controller mostly out of curiosity, and I ended up being pleasantly surprised by how well it performs for the price. The overall build quality feels better than expected. The grips are comfortable, the buttons have a clean, responsive click, and the lighting effects look great without being too distracting. It pairs easily in multiple ways — Bluetooth, wireless dongle, and even wired — and every connection type has been stable with no noticeable input lag. That alone makes it really convenient if you switch between PC, mobile, and the Switch.The one downside is the triggers. They work fine mechanically, but they do feel a bit wobbly, especially if you’re used to higher-end controllers like the more expensive GameSir models. It doesn’t make the controller unusable, but it’s noticeable enough that it stands out against the otherwise solid construction.Aside from that, everything else performs really well. The sticks are smooth, the face buttons feel tight, and the overall design looks much more premium than its price suggests. You definitely get a lot of value here — just don’t expect the same trigger feel as the top-tier models.For the cost, it’s a surprisingly capable controller with great versatility.Ver másVer menos

Absolutely Exceeded My ExpectationsI’m really impressed with this controller. It feels amazing in the hands and honestly feels better than an OEM Xbox controller to me. I was hesitant about buying it for a while, but I finally decided to bite the bullet and order it—and I’m definitely not disappointed.The customization options on PC are a huge plus, and I love how much control you have over the controller’s settings. It also supports Steam Input, and Steam even recognizes it as a GameSir controller, which makes setup and compatibility super easy.For the price, I honestly wasn’t expecting it to be this good.
