Works great. I like it as a previous solar version I had had an anemic display. This is 100% battery powered. Which is a replaceable AAA, if you are able to open the 6 screws at the back - see picture.

Pretty decent calculator bought for a 6th grader. Main reason for choosing this over TI calculator was the price and I think most of the basic functionalities are here and sufficient for a middle-schooler.

Casio FX-300ESPLSB-WAIT Scientific CalculatorThis Scientific Calculator works as described but for me it is a learning process of changing modes to do specific calculations… Worth the price for working out calculations when needed!
