Great markers!
I had a small set of Copics that were gifted to me and loved them. But when found out the pricing for a full range of colors, I knew I needed a more economical version. These were recommended to me and I ordered this pastel set to try them out. I love them, maybe even more than the Copics. Or maybe it's just the colors. I adore pastels and most "pastel" markers actually lean more bright or neon in my opinion. These are true pastels and such a great range! I am not an artist, just a hobbyist, so maybe the difference between these and Copics escapes my mind. But as a person who just loves to color and use markers, I found these every but as nice to use as the few Copics I have. I just ordered a larger set so I would have the full range. Give them a try!Ver másVer menos

beautiful color payoff and a highly enjoyable coloring experience
I've been using Ohuhu alcohol markers for almost 3 years now and own two other sets of the Honolulu markers along with two sets of Ohuhu Kaala markers. In my quest for the perfect marker, I have also tried Caliart, Bianyo, and countless other brands of budget alcohol markers. While I've always found the quality and color payoff of the Ohuhu alcohol ink to be better than any other budget brand, I have clumsy hands and have often had a hard time controlling the brush tips to stay inside the lines or achieve a seamless blend. In general, I preferred the mini brush tips on the Kaala series and have wished for a long time that Ohuhu would offer more colors for this series. As a result, I haven't ordered a new set of Ohuhu Honolulu markers since before the brand updated its color names and barrel design. So when this set of markers appeared in my Amazon Vine feed (allowing me to order them for free in exchange for my honest review), I jumped at the chance to try them. I couldn't be more pleased that I did. It's difficult for me to imagine that a change to the barrel shape could make so much difference, but I found the experience of using this newer set of Honolulu markers to be SO much better than using my old ones. The new barrels make the markers much easier for me to manipulate, allowing me to achieve the blends I want and to lay down colors more evenly. I am so, so happy with these markers. With the updated barrel design, I finally fully understand the hype around Ohuhu Honolulu markers and will more than likely be ordering more sets of them when I can afford to do so.Aside from the changes noted above, these markers are the quality I've come to expect from the Ohuhu brand. The markers are fairly juicy (so be careful not to open them over your art!), but not so much so that they splatter while you're coloring. The colors apply like a dream, and the ink stays wet for a pretty long time (especially if you use the included clear plastic sheet under your work, which not only prevents color from bleeding onto whatever surface is underneath the paper but also allows the ink to sit longer before it fully dries), so you don't have to rush too much to be able to blend or evenly fill in large spaces. I love the fine tips for tasks like writing, and the brush tips are great for coloring or blending. If you're careful you can use them to fill in both large and small areas, and they stand up well to heavy use on the Canson Mixed Media paper I prefer for my art journaling.Replacement nibs don't come with this set, they can be ordered on the Ohuhu website in case your brush nibs wear out before your ink runs dry. Although Ohuhu markers are designed to be refillable, availability of ink refills can vary. When I checked their website, I only saw 101 ink colors available as refills. So just be aware that you may not actually be able to refill the pastel markers once they run dry. With that said, they have a lot of ink and I still think they are a good value while they last. I definitely recommend this brand even with the caveat around refillability.

Best budget brand marker on the market - worth the price.
This pastel has 48 beautiful colors, along with a colorless blender. Ohuhu is my favorite brand of alcohol marker. This particular marker set is going to be a Christmas gift for my granddaughter. She loves markers with both a brush tip and a chisel tip.Ohuhu is a reliable brand that has really shot to the top of the budget markers. Many of their colors have refills, although not all of them. All of the marker tips can be easily replaced, in fact many of their sets come with extra nibs. This set does not, but it does come with a plastic sheet to place under whatever you are drawing on to prevent bleed-through to the next page. Of course, since they are alcohol markers, they will bleed through most papers unless they are specifically designed for markers. As an FYI Ohuhu has a truly bleed-proof paper that you can use both sides. Most papers don't.The barrels are sturdy and I have never had one crack, unlike a known flaw that a premium professional brand is currently experiencing. The lids post nicely. For me, lids that don't post are pretty much a deal breaker. They don't last long in my stash. I've lost too many lids that have disappeared to the 3rd dimension, only to reappear once the marker/pen/what-have-you dries out.I have used this brand for several years myself and am excited to be able to give my granddaughter the opportunity to upgrade her current supplies. She loves pastel colors and will be getting additional sets of these affordable markers at a later date to round out her supplies. While this set has beautiful colors, I wouldn't recommend it as a stand-alone set. It lacks any dark colors that are needed for almost any drawing. I still give this 5-stars because pastel colors by nature do not include darker values. Ohuhu does provide open stock markers. I am not sure if it's their entire line but do check their website before you toss a used marker out because it may be refillable. If its not refillable, it is likely replaceable. You will have to get it direct from Ohuhu for about $2.49 a marker. While Ohuhu is more expensive than many other markers, they are worth the price. In a 48 set they run about $1 a marker vs a professional marker that is currently listing for over $9 open stock. Also, for the same price as this set, the same professional marker has a set of 12.Ohuhu is a stable company that has been around for a while, and they are dedicated to producing a quality brand for all skill levels. While I am getting a set of markers in exchange for a review, the review is totally my own opinion, and nobody has told me what I needed to say one way or the other. I just think they are a great company that makes a good product and they are making improvements all the time.

The colors have a good selection and variety
Ohuhu Pastel Markers Brush Tip: AP Certificated Art Marker Set for Artist Adults Cozy Coloring Illustration, 48 Sweetness Pastel-tone Colors, Brush and Fine Dual Tips, Refillable, Honolulu 2BFirst impressions: The pens are beautiful and well made. The barrels are thick and full of color. The one end has a flexible brush tip and the other has a hard fine tip. The caps click on solidly and can be placed on the other end when the pen is used. The colors are pastel and juicy, easily flowing without dripping or spilling. The zippered pouch is a bit disappointing for such great markers. There is no structure inside and the pens are just shoved in there without order or protection of any kind. There is a swatch paper and a nice brochure describing the differences in the collections. The brochure is very nice as well. The colors have a good selection and variety. The zippered case has a short handle and I don’t really care for it. I think I’ll look for a better storage solution. .Installation/setup: Use to create art on paper or fabric. Be sure to use the included plastic mat to prevent bleed through to another sheet.Final thoughts: I have several of the collections of Ohuhu markers. I also have a small collection of other name brand markers that are more expensive, and some off brand that are cheaper. These markers from this brand are my favorite. Some of the cheaper brands have tips that are not true brush tips even though they claim to be. The more expensive markers don’t seem to be worth the extra money. Sometimes I prefer the chisel tip over the fine or brush tip for filling in large areas but my favorite by far is the brush tip. These markers are also refillable and have replaceable nibs. This collection also comes with a colorless blender. This is my favorite set from this company so far. The pens have color coordinated caps with a piece that sticks out so they don’t roll off your desk. The piece also makes it easier to remove the caps. The pens are really just a joy to use and I’m glad I got them. I enjoy these pens so much I bought the rest of the set.⭐️1 star - I don't recommend it at all, poor quality.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, it has multiple faults, or a very high price.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - It's passable, It has some faults but the quality is ok for what it is.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Product quite acceptable, it does what it promises.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Product that I totally recommend.
