Mine not Yours

Works well enough! If you can afford a better machine, go with that, but this does not disappoint

I give all the details below, including shortcomings despite the high rating. Works well enough to tell me I bet there is a better version out there that works even better, though for more money, of course.Talk about a small tank! A company ought to make a larger tank that fits nicely into the existing equipment. Light weight is the goal, but most of the weight is the machine without water tanks, so just double the capacity and that won't be too much weight for most people; there can always be a choice.Must lift up and onto the charging dock, so for a young child or weakened person or arthritic hands or carpal tunnel, may prove uncomfortable or difficult even though generlaoynitnis easy enough. I wish it gave a choice between up and onto the dock, or just setting aside and plugging into the handle; this would help people with varying strength and also better help with configuring where to plug it in in. The cord is a few feet long but comes from the bottom of the charging port, so you'll want it plugged in with a couple feet of the wall plug.I bought a second clean water tank because it is supposed to be cleaned out after every use by dumoing the dirty tank, filling the clean tank to capacity with water, then doing the cleaning cycle; but since I spot clean, I don't go through the whole tank of water and cleaner at once, so I cannot clean as frequently using their method. But the additional clean tank was $30. $30!!!! Should have been $5-10 because there is nothing spectacularly special about, being similar to a water bottle at a dollar store but with higher qualtiy plastic, and a specialized lid. But that is surely not worth so much extra for a small bottle and a simple lid. I noticed there are also plenty of replacement options for dirty tank, too, though, in case that ever becomes necessary, from just the canister itself to the housing it fits into. Anyway, this vacuum turns off in the upright position, which is disappointing because if it stayed on, we could pour water into the cavity of the charging dock and it could self clean there. I had a different vacuum-mop style one a few years ago, maybe also Bissel but I can't recall, that self cleaned in the port dock which was perfectly easy because we just poured water into its cavity, turned it on, and it sucked it up.Came with three filters and two rollers, as well as cleaner samples. Use whatever cleaner you prefer once those samples run out. I use enzymatic cleaner meant for pet messes, and when I run out, I just use Mr. Clean all purpose cleaner (cheaper all purpose cleaners have residue that eventually break the pump sprayers I use, so I would never use a cheaper cleaner in this machine).Goes through cleaner pretty quickly! Beware if your cleaner is pretty expensive. Does not have a way to turn off using the cleaner function, or to spray the cleaner on demand; designed simply to draw from the clean water/cleaner container for as long as it is turned on.As a vacuum, it works ok; way better than not having a vacuum portion at all! And hair and fur really don't wrap around this roller, which is fantastic. I can remove the cover to get at wet fur that sticks there, but most of it sucks right into the tank. I like that this Bissel vacuum mop gets up debris AND sucks up dirty water from the floor. However, if stuff on the floor is already wet or if it gets wet because the machine went over it without picking it up, it struggles to get those pieces. If you wouldn't suck it up with your regular roller vacuum (strings, pipe cleaners, plastic tags, large beads, larger bits of paper) then don't suck it up with this one! It does not excel at vacuuming debris, but it does a very fair job. This is not a wet-dry shop vacuum, after all!I have a mop I love that has two circular, rotating pads, and it comes with a self-cleaning base, but I must sweep or vacuum first to use it. Don't remember the name, but it is white with gray handle, sprays cleaner though I just use my own pump sprayer anyway. But there is ALWAYS fur or whatnot that I somehow miss, and find when mopping. And of course, it does not suck up the water, instead just soaking it into its pads. This Bissel is better than that mop for getting stuff off the floor in one go, as well as helping reign in the cleaner, though that mop honestly cleans better; if going over a little dried spot of missed food or something, press your foot on the Bissell and that pressure helps the roller scrub off the mess. I still use my mop for what I call quick mopping; I vacuum or sweep first, spray the floor, go over the floor. If you have a lot of debris or wet messes in your house, get the Shark wet-dry Every Mess (with stain remover carpet attachment, worth the bit of extra, and works as well as the Bissel Little Green Machine but with the convenience of having actual vacuum capability). Compact, and sucks up anything that fits in its hose; not as strong as a true shop vac but still fantastic for any house mess and easier to empty. Doesn't have this Bissel's ease of turn it on, roll it back and forth a few times, put it away, though; requires more effort to cover a larger area using just a hose, and requires spraying then scrubbing then sucking back up if trying to clean, as is not designed to scrub the floor whatsoever, so not a replacement for this Bissel; but it is great for spot cleaning any mess, wet or dry, that has debris of mostly any type or size, in case that is your household. It is mine!! I no longer use my shop vac in the house because this one is so convenient.I use this Bissel mop vac not for general floor cleaning, but specifically to spot clean urine from two brat (but still good) dogs that choose the floor despite viable alternatives; at least I have one good boy who doesn't! So I don't use it across my whole floor, though if I really liked it, I planned to buy one for general/non-gross floor use to replace my mop that I currently use. However, I have decided that while I appreciate this mop vac for my purposes, I am not impressed enough to buy a second one for whole-house use; but I love it enough to eventually hunt around for a similar but hopefully superior machine! For now, I use this for my uckie messes but still use my regular mop for the whole floor. For my exact purpose or spot cleaning pet messes, I originally bought a flat mop with a bucket design that uses a pump to rinse the head instead of it being rinsed in either the clean or dirty water tank (similar to the new O'Cedar one, but a different brand with three cavities and a pump; don't remember the name), but that was a lot effort for a few puddles each day, having to clean up the pee then rinse the pad then wipe the spot again then rinse the pad then spray the area (because rinsing with cleaner would use up cleaner too fast so I just used water in the clean tank side) then clean again then rinse the pad. Rinsing was easy enough, just press a button to spray water, scrape the mop up an down in the rinsing cavity, turn it off again then scrape up and down to remove excess water. But time consuming. This vacuum is MUCH easier. Far fewer steps and far less effort; I simply clean up the mess, go over the area a bit more than necessary to kind of rinse that roller, spray the floor with additional cleaner, then vacuum the spot again. My main worry for this vacuum was spreading smell around every time it was turned on, or the roller being smelly; not a problem so far. There is a lot of fur on the floor so I will update if this doesn't seem best long term for my usage or if it doesn't hold up well to a lot of fur. There is no strainer to separate fur and crumbs from the water tank like in the pet model, but I dump in the bushes instead of my pipes anyway, so no strainer is one less item to clean regularly--a plus. If you want a strainer, get a mesh strainer then pour through that. I still never recommend emptying dirty water tanks into sink or toilet, from this or carpet machines or whatever machine, strainer or not.
