Five stars for the spice and crunch
NORA’s Tempura Seaweed Snack, Sweet Chili Flavor is the first seaweed product I have eaten. The 6-pack I received in April 2026 expires in December 2026. If you love Thai chili flavor and crunchy chips, you’ll enjoy this vegan snack from Korea. The seaweed has a slightly earthy flavor, but these mostly look and taste like spicy puffed rice chips baked or maybe fried in rice bran oil. A nonedible desiccant package enclosed with the chips preserves the incredible crunch, which is the standout feature of this product. The chips are filling because of the fat content, and I felt full after 1/2 package. I rolled and clipped the top of packet and refrigerated overnight, and the chips were just as crunchy the next afternoon.This snack is expensive (about $5.50 per packet), but it’s a fun treat I’m glad to have in the pantry. I wish I could have taken it to a dinner last weekend with 2 vegan friends who love spicy foods.Ver másVer menos

I actually didn't realize how much tempura would be on these, I was thinking they would be more like flavored thin little pieces of seawood, but I was pleasantly surprised by the thick layer of crispy tempura that is on each one. the sweet chili flavor is great, not too spicy or anything, and these are a really nice snack. The bags are not particularly large, so you either have to eat only a few at a time or just accept the fact that you're going to go through a bag pretty quickly. I find that they do have a bit of a fishy after-taste. This bothered me a little bit at first, but after eating them once or twice I was fine with it.Ver másVer menos
