Canon RF 16mm f/2.8 STM Lens (5051C002) Bundle

The Canon RF 16mm f/2.8 STM is a sleek, lightweight ultra-wide-angle prime lens designed for full-frame RF-mount mirrorless cameras. Its bright f/2.8 maximum aperture and compact form make it a versatile everyday option for capturing expansive scenes such as landscapes, interiors, architectural subjects, and astrophotography, while also appealing to vloggers and content creators seeking a portable, high-quality lens. The optical design incorporates one aspherical element that minimizes distortion and enhances sharpness, ensuring accurate rendering across the frame. A Super Spectra Coating further improves image quality by reducing ghosting and flare, even in challenging backlit or high-contrast conditions, helping to maintain vibrant color and strong contrast. The lens also excels in close-up work, offering a minimum focusing distance of just 5.1" and a maximum magnification of 0.26x, making it well-suited for unique perspective shots with strong depth of field. Autofocus performance is driven by an STM stepping motor, which enables smooth, near-silent operation, ideal for both video recording and still photography. Additionally, the RF 16mm f/2.8 STM features a customizable control ring that can be programmed to adjust exposure settings such as aperture, ISO, or exposure compensation directly from the lens. The rounded seven-blade diaphragm contributes to pleasing bokeh, enhancing creative options when working with selective focus techniques. Combining portability, a bright aperture, and impressive optical performance, the RF 16mm f/2.8 STM is a versatile wide-angle solution for photographers and videographers alike.
