gentle but effective lip care

I’ve been using the ordinary lip serum regularly and it’s become a solid part of my nighttime routine. The texture is lightweight and not sticky at all, which makes it really comfortable to apply before bed.It gently exfoliates without irritating the lips so I didn’t experience any burning or dryness. Instead, my lips felt smoother and more hydrated over time. I also noticed that flaky, dry areas started to improve after a few uses. I like that it works slowly and consistently rather than giving an instant harsh effect. In the morning, my lips feel soft and more even in texture. SOFTER, SMOOTHER LIPS OVERNIGHT!

I wasn’t expecting to love this as much as I do! My lips have become drier as I’ve gotten older, and I’ve started noticing those little vertical lip lines. After using this serum, my lips felt incredibly soft, smooth, and hydrated. It gently exfoliates without any scrubbing, so there’s no irritation—just healthier-looking lips.I also noticed my lip lines looked much less noticeable because my lips were so much smoother and better hydrated. Lip balm absorbs better afterward, and my lips stay soft for much longer. If you’re dealing with dry lips, rough texture, or age-related lip lines, this is absolutely worth trying. Works great IF you can get past the runny texture, foul taste and terrible applicator.

I bought this because I love lip products. I’m a bit of a lip balmophile, if you will. I keep lip balms and serums everywhere because I cannot stand the feeling of anything but moisture on my lips.I decided to give this a try when I had some significant damage to my lips from training my dogs in the snow. I’d been previously eyeing this product for no other reason than the color drawing me in.I first used the Tatcha Lip Scrub because I had pieces that needed physical exfoliation.Next I applied The Ordinary Lip Serum. It’s more of a sticky lip water, as serum feels like a bit of a reach. The texture and taste are basically equal to watered down children’s cough medicine. It’s watery, sticky and not the type of thing you want to taste on accident, which is hard to do since it’s a lip product. They claim it’s a ‘slightly tangy taste from the food-grade exfoliating acids’ - I say it’s bitter, medicinally sweet and otherwise gross.The applicator is a mess and I’m not sure who thought it was a good idea. A stainless dipper rod or even a controlled dropper to apply with fingers would be less messy and far more hygienic. I don’t use the dropper. I have a random textured silicone q-tip I got with the CosRx drying lotion (neither are worth $16; fret not, I have an alternative option). I dip it, apply and then clean it after each use. I think using one of the silicone lip/nose scrubbers would work just as well (I got mine for $1.25 at the dollar tree).It did work but I’m not sure it’s worth the application burdens. I wanted something less messy than sugar scrubs and this is just a different kind of a mess that I have to keep on my lips far longer.I’ve taken to mixing mine with my lip mask and applying before bed. I won’t be repurchasing once I’m out, though.I’m not sure my review is very helpful on influencing your choice to purchase it. But hopefully my application methods are helpful if you do buy it.Again, it does work and worked overnight for me. It’s a good product. I just think the formulas consistency and applicator need to be adjusted.I’ve attached before and after pictures. I had to keep patting my lips because the serum moves and pools to the inside of your lips, like it’s forcing you to taste it, still, you can see the liquid pooled there and I just wanted to clarify I don’t drool like that, lol. In the first picture you can see the frost burns mostly on the inner portion of my bottom lip (it looks like petechiae; fret not - I have heart/vascular problems and I’m positive it wasn’t that). I’ve also included images of every product I used, it was a group effort (honestly, Tatcha really isn’t that great so I’m not giving it much credit). The time between the first to last pictures was 7 hours.The application method really deserves no stars and the taste alone should make me take it to 3 stars. But it really does work, so I’m giving it 4.

This serum is genuinely innovative. Much better than those harsh lip scrubs that do absolutely nothing.I've been using this serum on on and off nights, and a few weeks later I've noticed that I don't have any lines on my lips anymore. Gives the lips a plumping effect that's probably due to the hydration and dead skin cells being exfoliated.Concerns people may have that I don't care about:It has a tangy taste if you get some on your tongue, but that didn't really bother me, I don't care, it works!I don't mind the applicator, just use a drop on your finger and run it on your lips and let it dry.DISCLAIMER:You'll feel your lips a bit more sensitive after using it, so make sure you use proper hydrating lip products.Also, the next morning you might notice some skin peeling, DON'T PEEL IT, just keep applying lip balm or some healing ointment.TIPS:- Ease in, the lips are sensitive, use 1-3 times a week at night.- Use good quality lip balms to counter the dead skin peeling- USE SPF !! If you're looking to improve your skin / lips and spending money on products, it would be counterintuitive to let uv damage prevent you from seeing resultsVer más

It's okay

I don't know what to say... its been 2 weeks and I really don't see a difference based on lip lighting?!.. my lips are softer but no lighter skin tone which is why I got it. Base on the ad advertised on the gram n toktok🤷🏾‍♀️
