Great Full-Auto Glock 17 Style Gel Blaster
I picked up the Gel Toys X8 Upgrade Version for X2 Full Auto Gel Blaster Pistol (Glock 17 style) and it’s been a ton of fun for backyard plinking and casual target practice. It looks and feels very close to a real Glock 17 with the realistic polymer frame, slide, and grip texture — even the markings are nicely done. The full-auto mode is the highlight: it shoots a fast stream of gel balls with good accuracy out to about 30–40 feet. It’s quick to load, the magazine feeds reliably, and the upgraded internals give noticeably smoother performance than basic single-shot models. The gel balls are soft and safe for indoor/outdoor use (as long as you follow the usual eye-protection rules). It’s lightweight enough for extended play sessions and the battery lasts a good while on a charge. Everything feels well-built for the price, with no major jamming or feeding issues after a few hundred rounds.Pros:-Realistic Glock 17 look and feel-True full-auto firing mode for fast, fun shooting-Solid upgrade internals run smoothly-Easy to use and reload-Good value for a full-auto gel blaster pistolCons:-None so far — it’s performed reliably right out of the box.If you’re looking for an affordable, realistic Glock-style gel blaster that actually shoots full-auto and feels like a step up from the basic models, the Gel Toys X8 is a solid choice. Highly recommended for adults and responsible older kids who want something fun and playable! Just don’t forget the safety glasses and extra gel balls.Ver másVer menos

Works great!!
This gel blaster has a smooth, reliable firing action that makes games feel exciting without being overwhelming. The full‑auto mode runs consistently, and the drum magazine holds plenty of ammo so you can play longer without constant refills. The build feels sturdy but not heavy, and the design is comfortable to hold for extended play. The included goggles are a nice safety touch and fit well. Both magazines feed cleanly, and the blaster stays accurate at a good backyard distance. The rechargeable setup is convenient, and the overall performance is surprisingly strong for casual outdoor games. It’s a great pick for teens and adults who want something fun, fast, and easy to use. A full five star pick for smooth performance, solid build quality, and pure fun.Ver másVer menos

Do not buy
I got this for my son he was shooting it in the backyard and it was tough to get in the battery. It took him about 15 minutes after figuring it out it took under 30 minutes to fully break. This is a warning do not buy.

Fun, Fast, and Surprisingly Well Built
I got this gel toy set for some outdoor fun, and it ended up being a hit. It feels more solid than I expected, and the upgraded design seems to make a difference. After a few rounds of use, it’s still working smoothly without any issues. The different hopper options are a nice touch. Switching between the drum and the other sizes lets you change things up depending on how you’re playing. The full auto feature makes it really fun and a bit more exciting than basic versions. The included goggles are also a good addition for safety.Battery life is decent and charges fairly quickly, so you’re not waiting around too long to use it again. Just make sure to follow the instructions about emptying the water beads after use to avoid any clogging.Overall, it’s a fun and easy-to-use set that’s great for outdoor games. Definitely a good pick if you’re looking for something a little more exciting than the usual backyard activities.Ver másVer menos

Tactical-Looking Full-Auto Gel Blaster—Impressive Recoil Action, But Reliability Issues
We already have several gel blasting guns and have enjoyed them tremendously, so we were excited to try this fully automatic model. Upon opening the box, I immediately noticed far more parts than with our simpler gel blasters—some assembly is required. For those seeking a truer tactical appearance, this probably adds to the realism. Some elements went together well and felt well-engineered, while others felt less precise. Everything mostly assembled as intended, with two notable exceptions. First, the main battery compartment (which also appears to double as a flashlight) had a completely loose wire inside upon unboxing. Even after careful inspection, I couldn’t confidently reattach it without risk, so the light function has never worked. Second, during test firing, a simple swing caused the entire battery compartment to fly off and crash to the ground. Fortunately, it landed on a mat and nothing broke, but reattaching it revealed that the keeper pin does not seem to securely hold the compartment in place during normal movement. This happened with gentle swinging, which is common in active play. The gel-firing mechanism itself is extremely satisfying—the full-auto recoil of the stock moving back and forth with each shot is mesmerizing and probably the best feature of the gun. It comes with three clip sizes (small, medium, and a large drum-style), all easy to insert/remove, though the loading holes are small and some gel-lets can spill out when detaching clips. The gun has a very cool, tactical look and feels like a showpiece. However, the reliability issues (battery compartment detaching, loose wire) make me hesitant to use it in active multi-person gel battles, where quick movements are normal. I’ll limit mine to backyard target practice and showing off its aesthetics. I have not yet tried the included gel-lets (using my own instead), so performance with the stock ammo might differ. There is also a sticker mentioning laser radiation, but without the light function working, I couldn’t verify what it refers to.At this price, the impressive recoil action and tactical design are appealing, but the engineering shortcomings keep it from feeling like a premium or fully reliable option. I’m giving this 3 stars—it’s a cool-looking piece with a satisfying firing experience, but reliability needs improvement for active use.

Pretty fun, but one oversight...
The kit comes with everything you need to fire off some gel pellets. You get tons of the gel pellets, several magazines, the pistol and a couple other accessories. Luckily I already had some gels ready to go so I didn't have to wait. The pistol is kind of finicky about feeding but goes pretty good once it gets started. The 'blowback' action is kind of fun. It's powerful enough it causes a little bit of a sting up close--definitely want those safety glasses. This kit is pretty fun but has one oversight in my opinion: to use the battery charger, you need to remove the battery housing (the flashlight) and disconnect some wires each time. I would much rather have seen a USB-C somewhere to prevent disassembly...Ver másVer menos
