I’ve been using this MSI Cyborg 17 for both work and gaming, and it has exceeded my expectations.The 17.3-inch 144Hz display is smooth and immersive, making games look great while also providing plenty of screen space for productivity. The Intel Core 7 processor paired with the RTX 5060 handles everything I throw at it, from multitasking and content creation to modern AAA games with excellent performance.The 16GB DDR5 RAM and 1TB SSD make the system feel fast and responsive. Boot-up times are quick, applications load almost instantly, and there’s plenty of storage for games and files.I also appreciate the lightweight design for a 17-inch gaming laptop. The translucent black chassis gives it a unique futuristic look without being too flashy. Connectivity is solid with USB-C, Wi-Fi 6E, and enough ports for my accessories.The cooling system does a good job during long gaming sessions. The fans become noticeable under heavy load, but temperatures stay well under control, which is expected for a gaming laptop.Overall, this is an excellent value if you’re looking for a powerful gaming laptop that also works well for everyday use. Wow, This Actually Surprised Me
Not gonna lie, I had pretty low expectations because it's a budget gaming laptop. But the MSI Cyborg actually surprised me. It's smooth for all my schoolwork, and after class I can hop into Fortnite with no problem. The design is also super clean and unique—it definitely doesn't look like your average budget laptop.Ver másVer menos

Great laptop, could have been designed better
Overall I'm happy with the laptop. Let's start with the Cons.1) There is only 1 usb-c and 2 usb-a ports which is insufficient.2) The usb ports and the 3.5mm headset port are all positioned right on the right side where a right handed person would use a mouse so it's a poor design. They should be on the back, which is completely unutilized.3) The rtx5060 isn't terribly impressive but not terrible. It feels comparable to the 4060 in my 2023 model gaming laptop. If you're gaming you'll want to use the msi center app and turn on performance mode. By default it is in a hybrid mode managed by AI that worries too much about energy conservation...4) There is only one SSD slot so it doesn't support more than one drive which is bizarre heading into 2026.The laptop is listed a as not supporting gen5 nvme m.2 SSDs but that's not true. I upgraded to a 2TB gen5 with no issues, however windows 11 24h2 wouldn't recognize any ssd with either the stock 4th gen 1tb or the 5th gen 2TB I installed so I had to get the IRST driver from the MSI website in order to install windows. You'll also want to grab the other msi drivers if you're doing a fresh install because by default the USB drivers Windows 11 applies transfers data at roughly 5% of capacity.I like that the bright colorful rgbs are only on the keyboard so when the lid is closed you're not lighting up the whole house at night.I also upgraded the ram from 16gb ddr5 to 32gb and upgraded the wifi from the 6e card to the BE200 wifi 7 card.Ver másVer menos

Perfect gift for back to school laptop
I have this for my nephew, it’s back to school season, having an entry level gaming laptop is always a good option for students.The performance is pretty decent, perfectly fit in his demand, gaming and doing school project.As an adult playing a lot of games while growing up, having a big screen is definitely a plus since majority of the company makes 15-16 inches laptop.But overall am very happy, my nephew is also happyVer másVer menos

100% disappointed. Slowest computer ive ever owned for the price.
I give no stars. This laptop is nothing it claims to be. yeah it got a quarter million aquamark score but its load times are beyond slow and it cant play really anything with maxed graphics unless maybe chess or solitaire. Pages dont open. and as for programs or apps good luck. It flat out doesnt work in any aspect mci claims. The numbers are ok but performance is non existent. Your better off getting a calculator from 1979. Do not buy this computer you will regret it if your any type of gamer that expects even just a lilltle performance.Ver másVer menos

What you’d expect, but check your default page file size
It’s pretty nice. I like it. Definitely an upgrade from my gtx 1060; HOWEVER, there might be a page file bug that makes it run slow. So, double check your page file size.I almost sent it back bc it was running slower than my old computer, but I consulted ChatGPT instead of taking it to a shop and it told me to show it my system information. Then, it told me the issue was the default page file size.
