Keeps My Ring Doorbell Charged Without the Hassle
This solar charger has been a great addition to my Ring doorbell. Since installing it, I rarely have to think about taking the battery out to recharge-it helps keep the battery topped off with normal daily sunlight.Installation was quick and straightforward, and it matched the doorbell nicely without looking bulky. Once mounted, it stayed securely in place and immediately started charging.The build quality feels solid, and it's held up well outdoors through different weather conditions. As long as your doorbell gets a decent amount of sunlight, this is a huge convenience.If you're tired of constantly removing your Ring battery for charging, I highly recommend this solar charger. Much Improved!
This is the third or fourth solar charger I've owned as I upgrade my ring alarms, or because the old one deteriorated. But what sets this one apart is that it seems to charge the battery much more robustly!I live in sunny Arizona and my doorbell faces West with many hours of direct sunlight. So you'd think a solar charger would be able to charge up the battery from any nighttime usage. But until this version, it would not, it would barely slow down how fast it drained, and once a month or so, I'd have to swap the battery with a fully charged one.However, since I bought and installed the new Doorbell Pro (2nd edition, just over a month ago), the battery has remained above 90%! Not a single battery swap yet!It's the summer, so the days are longer. I'm sure in the winter it'll have more difficulty to keep charge it up.And like all Ring solar chargers, it's super easy to install and setup.Overall, I'm very, very pleased with this product!Ver másVer menos

NOT Compatible - Do extra research
Ordered as a bundle with the newest version of Battery Doorbell Plus June 2026, and NOT compatible. Literally zero way to even try. Battery is a microUSB plug in that goes INSIDE the camera. Solar panel is a USB-C, and there aren't even places on the outside of the camera/Battery to plug in. Ring also doesn't even recognize the qr code on the solar panel to link to account. I researched for at least a week about upgrading my camera, and ways to make sure it has power. Wild this was even suggested, AND there were so many Good reviews at the time. I'm flabbergasted at just how not thought out this whole process was on Ring/Amazon's side. And yes, it's taken me about a month to get it set up since I've been moving.Ver másVer menos

Works, but not indefinitely
This works very well, especially with the southern exposure. Just set your expectations, realistically. The solar charger does not completely recharge the system. It merely extends the amount of time that you need to go between charges.

Seems to be working well.
Please note this charger has a USB-C connector so it is not compatible with every doorbell.I connected it to the doorbell on my front gate and two days later, the battery is still showing 100% so seems to be effective.

Works with Reolink doorbell.
Anyone that maybe wondering, this works with the Reolink battery doorbell. If you have the angle bracket on for Reolink, you need to cut a little out to make room for the spade connectors. The spade need to be modified, clip just a little bit of the plastic between the spades to allow them to spread a little. Hole patters on plate match locations on the Reolink brackets.Ver másVer menos

Better than expected
Much better than I expected. I have my Ring camera on max performance settings and this solar charger keeps my Camera rolling without the need to charge. However, multiple rainy days keep it from charging as efficiently and cause the battery level to drop. When the sun comes out, if you have enough direct sunlight, it will fully recharge.I should also mention it was a super easy installation. It’s plug and play for the camera which securely attached to the charger. There is a screw behind the battery plate that secures it to the charger so that someone can’t just grab it and walk away.Ver másVer menos

Cannot install this with a ring doorbell. Doesn’t matter which generation.
What a piece of trash. I am completely disappointed with everything Ring at this point. The doorbells only last a year or two. Now I have to replace the doorbells and solar chargers with the next generation as the gen 2 doorbells have died…. Again.Mounting holes can’t even stay the same? I have to drill new mounting hole in brick to mount the gen three doorbells?….Then the gen 3 solar chargers cannot mount to the gen 3 doorbells?What a short sighted and terrible company.No more ever again.Ver másVer menos

Das Panel ist etwas ca. 2cm grösser als der Vorgänger, und auch schwerer, arbeitet mit der neuen Gen2 aber auch mit der Pro Gen1, mit etwas Basteleien ist die Montage machbar für Pro Gen. 1, von Akku Laden sind wie immer noch weit entfernt, aber die Entladung ist stark weniger geworden, selbst wenn die Doorbell Pro Gen2 mit Solar Panel nicht unmittelbar mit Sonne angestrahlt wird.Ver másVer menos

Works well and looks good, you can use mount that comes with the doorbell.

It fits like a glove. The cable extends out a bit so you can connect easily to the Ring camera. Then just put the remaining cable back in. It works brilliantly.
