portable to the extreme
First lets get it out of the way. This is not an everyday watch movies in your home theater projector. This is a portable projector perfect for presentations and movies while traveling.Now that that's out of the way--I love this thing! I highly recommend it for work and travel. This is perfect for watching movies outside, work or school presentations, etc. I travel fairly constantly for work and give lots of presentations and have lots of down time in random very out of the way places with my work crews--this is perfect for just such times. If you want a permanent every day projector this is probably not what you're looking for.PROS:1) It is portable. I can't overstate this. I have an old Samsung Galaxy Note 4 that I use as my phone and this projector is exactly the same dimensions as the phone, just about 2.5 times as think (about an inch thick). See the picture for the size comparison.2) It is powerful: This is relative to it's size, of course, but on a painted yellow textured wall in moderate lighting we could see the picture with good clarity (ok, ok, as far as quantifiable tests go this doesn't really go far, but I was impressed). When we got rid of most of the ambient light we were amazed at how bright it was.3) The picture is clear and crisp. At about 30" in diagonal it is extremely clear and crisp. We had it up to 100" and the clarity faded a bit but not much at all--a lot of that probably due to the less than ideal surface onto which we were projecting. It was still a great picture. I havem't tried it out larger than 100" due to space but I will try it as soon as I can.4) Simple to use: There is a remote that helps, but in reality I just mirrored my phone screen and went to town. I used a micro usb to usb cable (typical samsung charging cable) and connected my phone to the projector. I used the suggested EZCast app and it worked fine. It took some work to figure out how to get it connected but I'm pretty sure that is an issue arising from the app, not the projector. HDMI looks to be even easier--I currently don't have the correct HDMI cord to connect to my computer, but the projector has a full size, normal HDMI port. Just plug and play for a computer!CONS:1) Sturdiness and craftsmanship: The build on the thing doesn't fill me with confidence. The plastic that its made out of seems fragile and cheap. The paint lines are visible on the painted portion, the focus wheel is loose and has a fair amount of play. There are small details in the plastic work such as the setting for the tripod receiver and such that could be cleaned up. This is unfortunate because overall the craftsmanship does not reflect how it performs! The performance is stellar, the craftsmanship not so much.Some of this can be overcome by getting a good case for it--I would suggest the hermitshell case-it has premolded compartments for all of the components and provides the hard protective shell and refined finish that the projector itself lacks.2) Setup for screen mirroring on a phone. I hesitate to add this one because it could be my phone or the app that I used (EZCast) rather than the projector, however on my Samsung Note 4 using the suggested app it took a while and some playing with phone settings to get the thing to work. I'm still not exactly how I got it to work, but somehow it started mirroring. Computer is easier--just plug and play via HDMI.Ver másVer menos
