Worth the price!
I had 3 less expensive generic 3-in-1 chargers for just over a year... they worked okay, but I was never completely happy... then about a month ago the weak magnets started to cause my Apple watch to start off charging but then lose the connection and let the watch die overnight. So I started looking for better solutions and found this one.First, I generally believe that "brand name" vs. "generic" is often just an excuse to charge more. I really balked at $129 for a charger. In the end however, I decided to take a chance and took the plunge.WOW! What a difference!First, the magnets are much, much stronger... dropping connectivity will likely not be something I ever worry about again. And because the connection is so much better, and coupled with the huge (power wise) 45 watt adapter... all 3 of my devices (iPhone, Apple watch and AirPods) all charge much faster and reliably, even with all 3 on the charger at once.Second, the information I found regarding the cooling fan and a "hum" appears to be overblown... I can't hear a thing! (But I also have other devices nearby that I can hear so it could just be drowned out; except, even with my ear right next to this charger I could not hear anything. So, don't let the fear of a fan scare you off.The only negative thing I can think of is that the arm for the phone is adjustable, you can lay the phone completely back to 90 degrees so that the screen points up (or very close to 90 degrees) if you want. It seems to be a friction kind of adjustment, I do not see any way to tighten or loosen it... it holds position pretty well so far, but I could see this becoming an issue later. And the folding arm for the phone will be useful if I ever travel with it... fold it down for compactness and through it in a suitcase... perfect.Overall, not the least expensive by far... but so far, the quality is the best I've found. I'll wind up with one or two more over time most likely (unless something even better comes along).Ver másVer menos
