  If you've never had freeze dried fruit its such a game changer. The texture is so fun - like fruit chips but not fried! They're light, airy and crispy! Ive had a few different kinds of freeze dried strawberries - sweetened and unsweetened. Personally my raging sweet tooth prefers the sweetened ones but these are no sugar added and they're delightfully tart with still a good amount of sweetness from the fruit itself. These came whole with minimal breakage. The container is resealable and does a good job protecting the fruit. You can snack on them just as is, or you can add to yogurt or oatmeal or chop up and add to baked goods! These have no water in them so they're a great way to add fruit bits to your baked goods without adding too much moisture and ruining the product. I made strawberry muffins and the first time I tried fresh strawberries and they were just mushy and soggy but if you add these they're perfect- in a dish they will soften to a nice chewy texture. You can also grind it up into a powder and add to delicate desserts such as meringes, pavlovas or macarons. One of my favorite things to do is to make little meringue kisses and then sprinkle freeze dried strawberry powder on top for perfect natural strawberry taste! I usually once these are opened put the whole container in a ziplock just to be extra careful because these will suck up moisture especially in a very humid environment and lose a bit of their crispiness.Ver másVer menos
