So far, so good. Plenty of hits with no visible damage. Plate arrived with a beautiful paint job. Of course, the paint gets dinged with every hit so I just use a high coverage spray paint after every session. It's a good size for 100 yards, maybe more with optics.Ver másVer menos

Quality and finish are very good. Chain mounting nuts/bolts not optimal.
I have several steel targets that get shot with 22s to 30-06s. After shooting with my 308, I found this target is at least as durable as the others. The paint finish on this target is excellent, so much so that I felt guilty for shooting it the first time (ha ha). The pitting is normal, as the photo shows three shots with my 308 at 100yds.My only issue with this target is the way the chain is mounted is not the best for a steel target. The other steel targets I have included chain mounting hardware of a carriage bolt, a nut on the back side, followed by a washer, the chain, another washer, and another nut (see photos). This way, the steel target tilts more to better direct the splatter downward. See the photos of what it came with and how I modified it to tilt appropriately. To mount both chains, I bought two 3/8" carriage bolts that are 2" long (could have used 1-1/2"), four 3/8" nuts and four 3/8" washers. Note that 1/2" hardware will not work on this target like my other steel targets. This target appears to be metric with holes of 12mm square, slightly too small for a 1/2" carriage bolt. 7/16" bolts would be ideal but not commonly available at the hardware stores. 3/8" hardware was a little loose but works just fine after tightening down.Overall, this is a great quality heavy and durable AR500 target. Just plan on a trip to the hardware store to mount it to the chains properly.Ver másVer menos

Get it good value.
Have better than you might think. So at almost 100 yards. 556 and 7.62x39 make small dimples doesn’t seem to be a problem. I do paint it every time. I have an arranged day. I have tried a lot of colors, but I find the whites or the easiest to see once you hit it. I get it. It was a good price..Ver másVer menos
