  Good basic kit gel polish stays on well as average brands

  Great beginner kit! These are small "sample" sized bottles of gel polish. The gel polish itself is not hemma free. It is however not bad quality for the price. Overall the quality of the polish is 3-4 stars, for the price of the kit is a great value. There are a lot of colors to choose from and overall they do match the color chart once on the nails.Overall the product is average medium nice quality for a good price.The light is very small and low watt. If you have a stronger bigger watt light it will cure it much faster. The small uv lamp included is very basic for DIY. You will need to cure the layers several times until they become hard to avoid any issues. I used a professional grade lamp and the cure was good. They are tacky and need a top coat for a glass finish.I have used a lot of gel polish and so much is overpriced. This is a no name brand but seems to work well. When doing gel nails I prep the nailbed, getting the shine and skin off the cuticles. I use a dehydrator and a primer, I also use a base coat. Then I apply very thin even layers and cure each layer. The layers will build up and get too thick and bulky if you over do it, so thin, light layers. Then I use a topcoat for a glass finish.This is a great basic starter kit for at home use. The polish stays on strong and hasnt peeled off when doing a good nail prep and cuticle prep first. It saves tons of money and the entire kit pays for itself once so it totally worth trying out.I like the neutral earthy colors in the set, most of them look really pretty. After reading the comments I noticed some people saying this comes out clumpy. The tempretures of the product and the room matters. Warm up the bottle in your hands and do it in a warm area and the polish comes out and flows easier. It will flow smoother and less thick when the temp is warmer with no fan, no breeze.It comes off with a file, a drill or gel remover. Gel remover is a good fast way for beginners who dont have a drill. Drilling it off is fastest. Amazon has tons of affordable drills and gel accessories if you are interested.   I like this kit but I don’t love it. I’ve used quite a few high end nail polish brands and I find the quality of this to be OKAY. You’re getting a lot ofVariety but each nail polish is less than an oz. The bottles are quite small and they’re black, so you can’t see the polish itself. This one aspect drives me nuts lol. I like to see the color because the stickers are not accurate. They’re close but don’t really give the proper shade. You might want to test them or create a cheat sheet.Polish cures well but make sure to apply it in thin layers or you’ll regret it. You’ll have lumps and it will peel off your nail quickly. Filing your nail to make the polish stick is suggested by the instruction manual and I found that to be true.This gives you great variety which is a fantastic value. You’re able to sample many colors and see what works for you. If you want to try several colors and finishes, this will allow that.I was able to get several manicures from the colors I like. It held up well to heavy abuse, but still chipped and lasted about two weeks before I wanted to redo them. The whole kit is still less than one manicure, so it’s an affordable way to experiment.Ver másVer menos
