Awesome idea for keeping my mice cool in the summer!
WOW! This 3-in-1 bear shaped ceramic hampster cool house is a really awesome idea! I love it, and so do my mice!And what a great value for the money too!Normally I decorate their enclosure with little wooden houses that they love to chew up, so I'm always replacing them. But this house will stick around for a while!Besides being very well made, the idea of giving them their own air conditioning is priceless! And the fact that you can use it as their air conditioning or feeding dish during cooler days is very functional. And being it's made of ceramic it's so easy to clean!It gets hot out here in New Mexico, and my mice are in a glass fish tank that gets a little warm at times so this cool house is a really cool idea and solves that problem!Besides being really cute and they love it as their new home, the little hat comes off, and you can place one of the little cooling packs provided on top, put the little hat back on and there you have it, a nice cooling for those hot days.And during the winter that space under the hat can be used to put their food, which leaves more space for them in their enclosure when you remove their feeding dish.It's a perfect size for my 2 mice measuring 3.54" high without the hat, 5.12" with the hat and 5.12" wide.This will make a great addition to your little ones enclosure and I highly recommend this cool house!Ver másVer menos

Cooling packs don't do much.
The one I ordered came defective - the ice pouches were miscut and had spilled all over the box and in the product. It was sticky like tiny styrofoam and hard to clean. I got a replacement and gave it a try as the weather has been hot. My hamster checked it out but didn't stay in it and I noted that while it does feel cool on the ceiling, it's not nearly enough to cool the entire ceramic hide. I checked again 3 hours later and the ice pouch was no longer cold. You're better off freezing or refrigerating the ceramic hide before setting it in the enclosure for your hamster to use. Rats love to play with the lid
I actually use this for my pet rats. They tend to knock the top off and play with it, so I can say that it is sturdy and well made! They're a bit too chunky to fit in the hidey hole but they do like to store random food in there. Very happy with it!

Super cute multifunctional hamster house.
This ceramic hamster house is super cute and has multiple functions. Ceramic itself is a cooler material and will stay cool, but for super hot days, you can use the small cooling pack and place it under the hat. This will safely cool down the house so your little fuzzy baby will stay nice and comfortable. The hat can also be removed and the top of the hamster can he used as a food / treat platform.The hide is a descent size. Ceramic can be broken if dropped, so care must be taken when handling it outside of the enclossure.Ver másVer menos

Top and House Don't Fit Together at All, Ice Packs Unnecessary, Not Worth It.
While this is cute, I wouldn't and can't even use this. The top for the house doesn't stay on at all, one tiny movement from your hamster would make it come off, and that stands for the tiny dwarf hamsters like mine, robos. That makes it possibly dangerous, as robos are very small and the lid being ceramic could hurt them. Not a safe thing to have in their cage, so I wouldn't even put that in there. I guess if you wanted, you could leave the top off and just put the house in your hamsters tank, but since it's supposed to be a set, this defeats the entire purpose, so no. The ice packs aren't something I'm going to use, and are completely unnecessary for any hamster. Hamsters don't need ice packs or anything related to that, that's for other animals like ferrets or chinchillas. But regardless, that's not why I wanted this. In size, this house isn't for a Syrian, it's way too small. This house is only meant for a dwarf hamster, so please don't tell yourself that it's indeed big enough for your Syrian. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone to buy sadly. I really had high hopes for this because it was pink and super cute. I honestly wish it wasn't so disappointing.Ver másVer menos
