Excellent Fragrance With Great Performance

Mandarin Sky Elixir was a blind buy for me (but lots of experience with the Odyssey line from Armaf), and it ended up being one of my favorite recent additions for fall, winter and early, early spring. Right from the opening, it delivers a fresh burst of citrus that feels energetic and refined, while the warmer amber and woody notes give it plenty of depth as it dries down.What stands out most is how well-balanced the fragrance is. It's bold enough to get noticed but never feels overwhelming. I've found it works especially well for evenings, dinners, and social events, though it's versatile enough to wear whenever I want something a little more sophisticated.The longevity has been impressive, and I can still catch traces of it hours after applying. The projection is strong during the first few hours, and I've received several compliments while wearing it. I would caution over spraying though, as it can be a bit cloying if you soak yourself in this.The bottle presentation is as standard from this line, feels like a thermos and looks like it also. Overall, this fragrance offers excellent quality, performance, and value. I do not know if this is similar to the JPG Sandal line or not, as I have yet to get my nose on that line. However, as a standalone perfume, it is a very good one regardless.If you enjoy modern fragrances that blend fresh citrus with warm, masculine notes, this one is definitely worth adding to your collection.Ver más

Not a "love-at-first-spray," but an excellent dry-down with time.

I went into Mandarin Sky Elixir with a lot of mixed expectations. I had read countless reviews, watched multiple videos, and even debated between this and the regular Mandarin Sky. I tend to prefer warmer, smoother scents in colder weather, especially ones that shine in the dry-down, so I decided to try the Elixir first to gauge quality before exploring the brand further.Presentation is excellent. The bottle is heavier than expected, the leather pouch feels premium, and everything looks exactly like it does online and in videos. First impressions in terms of packaging were very good.The initial spray caught me off guard. It is very strong, dense, and sweet, more than I expected. Not cheap-smelling, but definitely heavy. On both skin and clothing, the opening came across as thick and intense, almost overwhelming if you’re not expecting it. I wouldn’t describe it as syrupy, but it’s a bold sweetness that immediately makes a statement.At first, I genuinely wasn’t sure if I liked it. The top note felt potent enough to border on nauseating for a moment,not because it’s bad, but because it’s so concentrated. As it began to dry down, I would catch myself smelling my skin later and realizing there was something underneath that I really enjoyed, even if I couldn’t immediately identify it.After reading more about letting fragrances settle, I sprayed it 6–12 times and let the bottle sit in a cool, dark place for several days to a week. That made a noticeable difference.Over time, the fragrance smoothed out significantly. The slight alcohol bite calmed down, the sweetness blended better, and the scent became warmer and more refined. The opening is still bold, but it no longer feels jarring.For comparison, the opening reminds me of the potent sweetness of Paco Rabanne 1 Million EDT when brand new—not in scent profile, but in intensity. It hits strong, then warms up and settles into something more cohesive.The dry-down is where this fragrance shines. It becomes warm, smooth, and masculine without smelling overly synthetic or cheap. It turns into a comfortable, close-range scent that feels intentional and well-blended.To confirm quality, I went to multiple fragrance shops and smelled the original fragrances this is inspired by, and this clone is extremely accurate. If you enjoy those originals, this absolutely delivers the same DNA. The Invictus-style sweetness is clearly present, but the Elixir version leans warmer and softer as it dries.Performance:On clothes: very solid, lasting daysOn skin: calmer and more intimateBest with 2–3 sprays once settledThis is best suited for evenings, cooler weather, relaxed settings, or winter daily wear. It’s not a blind love at first spray, but if you give it time and understand what it’s aiming to do, the dry-down becomes genuinely beautiful.For a first blind buy, this was a success. Knowing what it’s meant to replicate and having smelled the originals, I think they did a very good job. The originals also have strong openings, so this isn’t inaccurate, it’s true.Overall, if you like warm, sweet-leaning scents with a strong opening and a smooth, still slightly heavy masculine dry-down, this is absolutely worth picking up.Ver más

Great value fragrance, easy blind by if you like sweet or fruity

Wonderful orange fragrance for fall, winter, or spring. I have not smelled the original mandarin sky or the JPG Scandal this is supposed to be inspired by, but on it's own this is a fantastic fragrance. The orange in the opening is wonderful, juicy, and sweet without leaning feminine. The vanilla comes in early in a nice way. I would almost compare this to a more mature orange creamsicle scent in the middle and the dry down. As it dries down, you really start to get the caramel note, its rich and sweet but still manages to stay mature. Great if you like sweeter, vanilla or gourmand fragrances. I only recently started experimenting with these types, and love this despite having probably avoided this in my younger years. This is a great date night fragrance. It's rich and sweet and the ladies will want to be close and smell you multiple times. It's not a loud enough fragrance to be worn clubbing, and too sweet to be worn in professional environments or the gym. I would recommend this for cooler seasons, maybe summer nights if it's not too hot or you're indoors. Definitely not fresh enough for warmer daytime wear. Longevity and projection are great, projecting at least 3 hours at arms distance, and staying on skin or clothes all day. Sometimes I can still smell it on my skin the next morning, so I'd say this is a great cuddly fragrance.Ver más

Smells great and long lasting!

Smells great. Lots of compliments. Last longer on clothes than skin. Perfect for summer! This is masculine not unisex not feminine. This is mens fragrance!

An odyssey to heaven

I’ve bought so many dupes thinking they were as good as the originals but alas they were not. On my first spray I fell back the scent was overpoweringly sweet I was thinking I had made another bad buy. A month later I decided to spray it go at it again what did I have to lose.
