The HemoGuard Hemoglobin Testing Kit is intended for the quantitative determination of hemoglobin (Hb) in capillary and venous human whole blood. The easy to operate system consists of a portable meter that analyzes the intensity and color of light reflected from the reagent area of a test strip, ensuring quick and accurate results. The HemoGuard Hemoglobin Testing System provides results in less than 15 seconds and requires only a single drop of whole blood. The meter can store up to 1,000 results and records can be transferred to a computer for further analysis using the USB port. The meter can be operated by 3 AAA (1.5V) batteries(INCLUDED) or an optional AC adapter.

BEST HEMOGLOBIN TESTER… EVER!
I am amazed at how precise and accurate this is! A life saver with this Waldenströn Macroglobulenemia and hemolitic anemia. I test my blood weekly, and monthly at the lab and here in order to compare… when the accurate result shows, I SMILE! I bought this hemoglobin test because I suffer from anemia. I cross-checked it against my lab results from a hospital, and the readings are very similar. Now that I have it, I feel much more at ease! 100% recommended.

stopped being accurate.
was good at first but after a month it stopped giving the correct number. we had it shown at 9 & 10 but the same day the doctors tested it a 6, had to get 2 bags of blood urgently! stayed in hospital for a week!

Gives piece of mind
Test is pretty easy to use and seems pretty consistent based on as long as you get enough of a blood sample on the strip.

Not again
Not accurate! I actually took this with me to my doctor's and did a side-by-side comparison when the results came back. This machine constantly read me very high, which is almost as bad as very low. Waste of money.
