Hybrid Cam 1080p -Excellent!
Hybrid Indoor/Outdoor Tapo 1080p Pan/TiltAs part of our Tapo Ecosystem we’ve added this hybrid indoor/outdoor camera, in addition to our 5 indoor Tapo cameras. The specs and functionality of the hybrid camera mirror that of the indoor:• Pan/Tilt: Just like the indoor models, it features a motorized base that pans and tilts via the app, allowing you to scan the entire room (or porch) and mostly eliminate blind spots. The horizonatal pan provides a good view while the vertical tilt provides a decent view although it appears to be a little more limited.• Smart Motion Tracking: Upon detecting movement, the camera lens physically rotates to follow the moving object.• Clear Two-Way Audio: It includes the same built-in microphone and speaker system, enabling a walkie-talkie like functionality.•Mounting: Fairly straight forwarded with the included mount, screws/anchor. Some of our Tapo cameras are simply placed on a furniture while others are mounted to the wall or ceiling. This hybrid one, we are using for the garage, so it’s mounted on the garage drywall.•3 night settings and spotlight: One of the main distinguishing features is this lighting feature.Smart Mode: The spotlight stays off until motion is detected. (Best for saving power and not annoying neighbors).• Full Color Mode: The spotlight stays on at a steady level all night.• Infrared Mode: The spotlight stays off entirely, and it only uses the invisible IR lights.It would appear that the infrared mode for the Hybrid is better equipped to handle darkness than the indoor version, thus offering superior night vision range.From my understanding, the Hybrid is fairy weather and temperature resistant. So far this Hybrid Cam has been holding well despite the somewhat changing temperatures of the garage from hot to cold, cold to hot.•Connectivity and Storage: Keep in mind, the strength of the WiFi signal will be a key for a smooth functionality of the camera especially if it is not placed indoor. Impressive!
This is a great camera. I love the motion tracking feature (moves and follows motion). The camera in general works great. Clarity is awesome especially considering I have it inside sitting on my windowsill facing outside. Connection is also great. I was a little worried when I saw some reviews on here about people having trouble setting it up and connecting it but I’ve had none. Honestly the setup was simple. Had it set up in about 10 mins and it’s no where near my wifi router(other side of the house actually). This particular model has aloooooottt of settings and features which I don’t use alot of but the app makes it super easy to understand all of them if you wanna use them (has explanations under each one) I also like the fact you can increase or decrease the sensitivity of motion or people tracking/recording. I had to change the motion sensitivity the other day because it was windy and it sensed the motion of my rose bush so my notifications were blowing up lol. But all around it’s an absolute great camera. And the price is phenomenal. The stick up ring camera I was going to get before I found this one is $80 and it doesn’t even motion track.Ver másVer menos

Great camera, zero cost with Micro SD
Arrived in good packaging, clear straight forward instructions. App was straight forward, walk you through everything, when encountering issues there is info in app to resolve. I put a micro SD card in so there is no cost for cloud storage. You can see camera footage through app on your phone, send notification of movement or alarm. So far I'm extremely pleased so I bought a second one also...Ver másVer menos

GREAT QUALITY AND EASY TO CONNECT!
Love this little camera! Easy set up, convenient to connect and great picture! I am having problems with neighbors cats in my yard and this camera allows me to catch them in my yard as evidence for my HOA and it even has an alarm that startles them and chases them off. I love the panning feature and that it links with my TAPO security camera app so that I can watch all of my cameras at once! Great buy!Ver másVer menos

Great Camera with Excellent Image Quality
I really liked this camera. The image quality is very clear and sharp, especially for the price. It works well and gives a good sense of security. One thing to keep in mind is that it does not come with a memory card, so you’ll need to buy one separately. Overall, it’s a great security camera and I would recommend itVer másVer menos

Best camera ever
Excellent camera for the price. I greatly appreciate the open source type software, I am able to hook these up to my AgentDR software on my computer and use it as storage for free. You also don't need internet for this camera which is sometimes rare. I don't pay any extra fees, i just got this camera and am able to use it for free indefinitely using the local storage space on my computer. The camera and Tapo app come with some built in features, like motion sensing, patrol mode, alarm, amongst others. I am not convinced you can find a better home security camera for the price. TP-Link/Tapo is a Chinese company, and their routers are banned in many areas for known backdoor exploits built in. I haven't heard of anything like this with the cameras, but it is something to be aware of.Ver másVer menos
