Incredible for office work!

This dock is an absolute blessing in the office. Its allowed me to go fully keyboardless with everything I could need from pages of commands instantly written in 1 button, a full numberpad, and even a macro to clock me out, close everything, and shut down my computer.The software is light and responsive with some of the very best macro capabilities I’ve seen, even better than paid software. The dock itself is very snappy with good build quality, and the lights are a nice touch.The price is very good for what you get!I really like the ability to screen capture icons, and gif support is nice too. The only actual complaint I have is that the buttons don’t feel very responsive and I either have to press the corner of the button, or really put pressure on the center for it to register.Overall 10/10Ver más

Very useful tool I did not know I needed in my life to make things easier and more efficient!

Let me start by saying that this is my first stream deck, and I can honestly say I don't know how I lived without one for so long. As a gamer, software developer, and content creator, I've known about stream decks for some time, but as I'm sure so many people do, simply relate them to streamers. In reality, these are capable of so much more than just streaming, but more on that later.First impressions as I removed this from the box is it feels like a solid high-quality unit. Setting it up was a breeze too. I have both a MacBook and a Windows Laptop, and set it up on both.Once the software is installed, just open it up and you're ready to start customizing the stream deck. It honestly took me all of 3-5 minutes to figure out how to go about setting everything up. It's laid out in a fairly intuitive way that just makes sense. Best part is, once you have some different actions created, it's basically just drag and drop.One of my favorite things about this stream deck though is how you can set up different profiles, but best of all, how it will automatically switch between them anytime you enter a window or program set for that profile.For example, I set this stream deck up on my MacBook because that's what I use for all of my content creation, specifically for Final Cut Pro. As I'm navigating around my MacBook, the main profile is up, which I have general things setup for like taking screenshots or starting a screen recording. Then as soon as I open up Final Cut Pro, whether from the task bar or hitting the stream deck button I have on the main profile, it instantly switches to the Final Cut Pro profile, which I've customized to have buttons for those tasks I use the most. As soon as I click on anything outside of Final Cut Pro, this stream deck again immediately switches back to the main profile.The stream deck may just have 15 buttons, but between all the profiles you can set up and them having multiple 'pages' you can rotate through, there's more customization options than I can even think to need at this point. So if I have one tip for setting it up, I would say don't worry about getting every single button on every single profile assigned. It's ok to leave some blank buttons and then as you're doing various tasks, assign them as needed. Otherwise it can be overwhelming and you might just end up wasting time setting up buttons you never use just for the sake of setting them up.Now let's switch to my Windows laptop, this is where I do more of my gaming. I have a usb hub switch that this stream deck, along with my mouse and keyboard, are hooked up to so that I can easily swap between machines. As soon as I hit the switch, the stream deck changes to all my windows settings since it's now talking to the software installed on there. I've just started live streaming in addition to my usual static content I create, and again this stream deck becomes invaluable. From playing pre-set sounds to specialized graphics, this can do it all.That's what I love so much about this stream deck, it's almost a necessity for anyone looking to get into streaming, but it's also for so much more than that. It could almost be considered a 'productivity' deck. In fact, you don't even need to be a streamer to make use of this. While I am using this for streaming, so far the majority of my use of it has been in editing videos.The last thing I want to mention is the physical stand. You can use this with or without it. Without the stand, the deck has rubber feet that do a great job to keep it in place. On the stand though, the bottom is so sticky this thing will definitely not move a single hair as you're using it, which makes it even easier to use when you don't have to worry about it sliding around everywhere, not to mention it's at a perfect angle.Ver más

Awesome stream deck

I don't write review often, but when I do, it is my honest thought.I picked this up to help with streaming, gaming config changes, and honestly, it’s been a massive time-saver.Software works flawlessly in the background, very important when gaming when performance is very important.There are so many thing you can customize this to do.Having 15 LCD keys that I can customize with my own icons and GIFs is fantastic, and setting up multi-step macros to launch apps or switch OBS scenes with one click works flawlessly. It even has neat little desktop widgets like a clock and weather monitor built-in.Overall, it’s an awesome budget stream deck, extremely versatile. A really solid and affordable piece of hardware for productivity and streaming. I highly recommend it to everyone and all my friends.Ver más

Nice affordable LCD button pad

I love this little unit. I've used it to create shortcuts for a number of applications, increasing productivity and just quality of life. Connection is plug and play, for the most part. LCD is of adequate brightness and color (I never turn it to brightest). The buttons feel good.I'm using this with Adobe apps, Davinci Resolve, Dorico, and for general Windows navigation (folder and app shortcuts and such). Once I get back into playing Star Citizen I will probably use it for shortcuts in that too. The software could be a little nicer and more intuitive, but once you figure it out, it works fine. I would recommend this to anyone who wants an LCD button pad but doesn't have the budget for the Stream Deck.Ver más

Great value Stream deck

This is a great product. It is very helpful with streaming allowing for easy programable buttons that allow you to swap between different scenes and actions at the push of a button.

Works On Linux! (With some setup required)

Works on Linux — here's howI bought this mainly for gaming on Linux (Bazzite / Fedora) and wasn't sure if it would work since VSD Craft is Windows-only. Turns out there's an open-source app called OpenDeck that supports this device through a community plugin.Here's what you need:1. Install OpenDeck — it's on Flathub, so a single command or just search it in your software center. Works on any Linux distro that supports Flatpak.2. Install the M18 plugin — search GitHub for "opendeck-m18" by ibanks42. Download the plugin zip from the releases page, then install it through OpenDeck's Plugins menu (Install from file).3. Add a udev rule — the plugin repo includes a file called 40-opendeck-m18.rules. Copy it to /etc/udev/rules.d/, reload with sudo udevadm control --reload-rules, and replug the device.After that, OpenDeck sees the M18 and you can assign actions to all 15 LCD keys and the 3 bottom buttons. Simulate Input sends keypresses to whatever app has focus, Run Command executes shell commands, and Switch Profile lets you swap between button layouts. Custom icons work if you drag PNG files onto keys through the GUI.The grid shows as 4x5 in the software but the M18 only has 18 physical buttons — the last 2 slots in row 4 are dead, just don't put anything there.I'm using it for Elite Dangerous macros, system controls (shutdown, volume, monitor management), and profile switching between games. Solid hardware for the price. The LCD keys are bright and responsive, buttons feel good.Bottom line: if you're on Linux and want a stream deck without paying Elgato prices, this works.(I'd suggest maybe copy this review and paste it to your AI assistant of choice and ask the to walk you through step by step setting this up, and if your running a local agent they can install most of this automatically. And you can just google icon packs or gen some of your in need of cool icons 😁 I hope this helps someone!)Ver más
