Just the Right Little Something Extra
I bought this shimmery fabric for a holiday book sales event, just to add a little sparkle to our black tablecloth. All on its own, it would have been fine, but I entwined white fairy lights in the fabric, making the whole display look pretty and festive. The fabric was easy to manipulate, very forgiving in terms of wrinkles, and it held the twists and curves well. There was almost no shedding, and there was no debris left on the table, books or other merchandise. I was delighted that the sheer fabric, the silvery accents and the fairy lights created a frosty, snowy, wintry effect that caught shoppers' notice.Since I was using two 6' tables end to end, I used five lengths of the fabric in all. This was due to the twisting, serpentine way I placed the gauze runner along the 12' length. I even knotted the ends to secure them, and after the event, was able to smooth the fabric easily. (I wrapped the lengths of fabric around flat cardboard and popped them in a large plastic, zippered food storage bag.)I reused the same fabric at another market a month later, and was delighted that there were virtually no wrinkles, the fabric was as flexible to work with, and as able to stay in place as when brand new. Again, there was no shedding, no loose threads, and no glittery, shiny plastic debris left on my black tablecloths.Because I only use this decorative fabric for non-food display purposes, I have not attempted to wash or dry it. If/when it's necessary to clean it, I plan to hand wash in cold water and line dry taut.If you need a bit of shimmer, a touch of frost on your table, this fabric has been a terrific choice for me, so I hope it works for you, too!Ver másVer menos
