I've been an audiophile ever since I can remember. I've always had custom sound systems in my car and high end quality systems in my home.I've owned dozens of Bluetooth speakers over the years and with my recent projector purchase I needed something superior.I browsed the soundbars and the pricey ones weren't waterproof, were elongated and not easy to transport to various other areas of my home.Some of the major complaints people had of the other devices were connectivity and failed pairing.I came across Turtlebox and read all the rave reviews and it sounded like a company that just got it right.The price was within the same range as the other devices I was looking at however with lots more features.Turtlebox Ranger is waterproof, has handles, also has magnets and a superb sound quality.Out of the box the packaging was impeccable and the battery was already 90% charged up.I have several other less expensive speakers, one that lives in the kitchen, another in my bedroom and one for the bathroom.Turtlebox is replacing them all and today I gladly carried it to each room while bumping some serious R&B, rap & hip hop tunes.The bass is definitely noticeable and the sound fills up the entire room without straining to keep up with the increased volume.I was even able to attach it magnetically to the side of my fridge and enjoy some tunes while I cooked.I purchased an Anker speaker a few months ago and needless to say I'm gifting that one to my daughter.Yes, $250 for a Bluetooth speaker seems a bit much but let me tell you it's worth every freaking penny.From the nice tan color, super fast Bluetooth connectivity, to the robust & durable build quality, the convenient carrying handle, rubberized surfaces and all the additional features definitely makes this a huge game changer.I'll be using this outside while lounging or while waxing my car.I am beyond impressed and can see myself purchasing this again and even for birthday or Christmas gifts for friends and family members.My one and only gripe which is probably limited only to me is that I wish there was a way to turn off the bright LED lights for the controls and power button.I use my speaker at night for sleeping listening to rainstorms, podcasts and YouTube videos.Since I have blackout curtains and my room is completely dark the LED lights tend to overly illuminate the area.Maybe in the future a cover can be incorporated like they have over the charge port or a toggle switch to dim or completely turn them off.This is definitely not a deal breaker and I would still 100% purchase this again knowing what I know now.I was able to use Gorilla tape on my other devices to block out those annoying little bright buggers.Nonetheless, this was an excellent purchase and I cannot recommend this product enough.I'm definitely a happy camper with only one very minor complaint but it's still a 5 out of 5 stars for me.Job well done Turtlebox.Ver másVer menos
